I started with Yakuza 0 a few years ago and it really felt like a breath of fresh air. The humor, story, and charm really made it into the best game I had played in years and one of my favorites of all time.

After that I played Kiwami and it is just worse than 0 in every way. They made the combat and boss fights much more annoying and tedious, and the story just isn't good. Overall I did not enjoy this game.

Kiwami 2 was a lot better than 1. The story/writing improved but it's not really close 0's level. The new engine was refreshing although the combat didn't feel as tight as 0s, but again more enjoyable than K1. Overall I liked this one but it was now clear to me how repetitive this series is.

I bought Judgment a few days ago and was pretty excited because I've heard some people say it's as good as 0. I'm only on Chapter 3 but man I'm not really feeling it.The main story is pretty good so far, but I think these games are just way too repetitive for me. Like I'm running around doing fetch quests in the same city that I've ran around in for 3 other games. And man, the trailing missions are just anti-fun. I think I'm just going to beeline the main story in this one and call it quits for the series as I've really lost all interest.

/blogfaqs. What do you guys think of these games?

I thought A Hat in Time was fun but felt like (less than) half a game when it released, the latter couple stages were very underbaked, and even with the dlc it still felt too short

really shows the benefits of having a decent budget
I agree, I enjoyed the game a lot, but some of the levels aren't so great. The game nailed movement and charm so it still won my heart.

It's probably a bit overrated as there are so few platformers available on PC.

life hack - take a college class or two and get a small student loan to get a fancy nice laptop that'll last you like 3-5 years. like a shiny nice macbook pro. it'll be low interest and maybe even eventually discharged, and it improves your credit score if you pay it every month for a bit. should have a nice laptop anyway and a class couldn't hurt and it's just a small way to show that you can repay money that was borrowed, which makes creditors more willing to lend in the future and in larger amounts.
or just get a credit card to raise your score instead of paying thousands of dollars to do the same thing

Do you just not have a credit history? If not you probably aren't going to get accepted for a rewards card. Just get a secured credit card.

It's not amazing but it's better than average as far as open world games go. I liked it quite a bit better than Ghosts of Tsushima.

It's got a cool setting and the combat mechanics against robot dinosaurs is really fun. The games biggest sin is that it forces you to fight humans too often, which is very boring. And you have the usual negatives of the genre, namely repetitive copy-pasted side content scattered throughout the map.

If you do get the game, make sure you do the "Hunting Grounds" locations. They're actually unique side content that's a lot of fun.

Most places will want a degree in computer science / IT / MIS / whatever else, but if that is not possible, I'd say to start learning programming via codecademy.com or any other free resources to see if you like it / are a good fit, then move up to figuring out what type of programming you'd like (web programming, devops, backend, database dev, etc.) and then if you're really good, try doing leetcode so that you can do well in technical interviews. It is a hard path without a degree though. I've heard of coding bootcamps working as well if you want to try those
Thanks @Chesh, really appreciated. I will start using free internet resources to see if really have interest in the field, but yeah I highly doubt I would have the discipline to become a competent programmer without the structure of college. Facing getting another degree when I'm nearly 30 already is a tough pill to swallow.
