One thing I always found odd about the show is that Pete and Frank are top billed on the show, even getting a spot on the show's intro. Yet they get much fewer A-plots compared to the rest of the main cast, and often don't appear in group shots for promotional material. It's always Liz, Jack, Tracy, Jenna, and Kenneth.

Just Google "30 Rock Season Covers" and click Images and you'll see what I mean. Pete and Frank aren't in any of them but are somehow on the shows intro.

Interesting. All the schools I went to as a kid didn't have doors to the entrance. The entrance to the bathrooms were just small hallways that curve inwards. Think the entrances to airport bathrooms.

I actually found it rare to see public bathrooms with doors until reaching college.

It seems to me everyone is pretty much guilty here.

This woman made a post that would make a reasonable parent upset (both the feeding of soda to a baby and the bruise on the forehead), then freaked out when it got the toxic response she expected.

But I'm also aware how horrible those mom's groups can be. Even for something mild like a child's bedtime can create a massive uproar if you don't fall into the "conformed standards".

Worst: College job where I was an events coordinator and set up rooms for weddings and conferences. The job itself wasn't too bad but the department was full of drama and ultimately I got fired for not wanting to get involved in it.

The point of high school classes are to increase your critical thinking skills. It's really not the content that you need to take away long-term, but developing the type of skills you need to comprehend, analyze, and synthesize the content.

The problem is that a lot of the time the way the content is taught is very paint-by-numbers and memorization, so the critical-thinking element is taken out of it. So once you've forgotten the content in a few months, you feel like you gained nothing.

Honors and AP classes tend to focus more on the critical thinking aspects, but many regular classes fail to do what they're supposed to.

I had to quit a job once because I needed to finish my PhD full time and they offered to keep me in my job at 75% time with full benefits to allow me to devote more time to school.

Once I finished I told them that now the 75% part time employment wasn't sufficient to cover my bills so they bumped me back to 100% and also gave me a promotion and a raise.

They specifically said they didn't want to lose me and would do what they could in their power to keep me.

That video is so frustrating to watch, and I'm not even talking about the content.

The video is in portrait mode for some reason, has some stupid, really loud background music added that wasn't originally in that scene, captions that overtake the screen to obscure what you're actually watching, and that stupid logo and hashtag that appears multiple times in the video in multiple places. That's just unwatchable.

As far as the Gotham show is concerned, I agree with most people here. The show started out rough, but once it embraced its wackiness, it became much more entertaining. Mad Hatter was honestly one of the best arcs in the show.

Here's hoping I never have to do this.

I'd definitely feel some type of way to go through a 4+ hour interview and not even get the job. Hell, the very thought of having to put on a show for people that long sounds dreadful.
I was once flown to a state on the other side of the country for a 2-day interview, which included dinner with the hiring manager, a stay at a hotel, and a full day of meetings, presentations, and conversations. I had to take two days off of work for this and spend all that time travelling in a plane as well.

Three days later I get a call saying I didn't get the job.

I really enjoyed the movie. It didn't try to be anything more than a family-friendly comedy about a guy in a video game world. And I thought it achieved that.

Like others have said, the Chris Evans cameo was extremely well-done. What made it so great was how sudden it was and how quickly it went away in a blink-and-you-miss it sort of way. The timing was amazing.

Reynold's character, Guy, worked for the movie. He was literally just a nice guy trying to survive in a world full of jaded and violence-loving people. He was just trying to show that it wasn't "lame" to be nice to people in a video game and I think it conveyed the message nicely.

The kissing scene with Guy and the female protag was hilarious. Her IRL reaction to the virtual kiss was priceless, made even more amazing by the follow-up conversation with her friend where he's like "is there even a button for that?" and she's like "oh he found the button". Such as simple exchange but made the scene even funnier.

People who worry about their digital privacy think they are much more important than the rest of the world think they are.

Unless you are committing crimes, no one is going to care where you are going or what you are doing as this data is collected in aggregate and there are so many data points it would be near impossible to narrow it down to identifiable individuals anyways (in a way that could practically be used).

Keep in mind I'm talking about aggregate-collected behavior data like buying habits and travel locations, not actual privacy concerns like passwords and identify theft. Of course those need to be protected.

This isn't necessarily directed at anyone in this topic, but more to the people I see on social media getting livid over news articles claiming that the free mobile game they downloaded has access to their calendar or contacts. These same people freaking out about their privacy not only agreed to the terms and conditions allowing this, but are the kind of people that no one would have any interest in tracking as an individual anyways.

Depends on whether or not you are a contributing member of the household or if you are just there to eat, sleep, and play.

In Hispanic culture it's not unusual to have several generations of family living in the same house. But each member contributes, whether it be money, daycare, cooking, fixing/renovating, etc. No one is seen as living under anyone else's roof as everyone has a part to play in maintaining the household.

So it really just depends. Are you all sharing the responsibility of keeping the household going or are you just a guest in your own home?

If you hated the puppets episode, then this show isn't for you. It went pretty zany after that with the gimmicks and comedy. Many consider that to be its strength compared to the rest of the arrowverse, but I guess it isn't for everyone.

Legends of tomorrow is an amazing show. It's had its ups and downs, but I think has more consistently been great than not.

Once the show dropped the "dramatic superhero action show" in favor of "sitcom with superpowers", the show got much better. The cast has great chemistry and the gimmick episodes are really fun. They give me a "Community" vibe. What other show finishes a season finale by fighting historical wax villains using shake weights while the "Thong Song" is playing in the background?

Also, Superman and Lois had a fantastic first season. I'm hoping the quality continues onto Season 2.

If your current work schedule doesn't give you any free time to do more than what you stated, you may want to work on a plan to get a job with better work/life balance. Work at your current place as long as you need to in order to build savings and experience, but have a plan to move to a job that gives you more leisure time (ideally a job with 8 or less hours a day and weekends off).

Once you have that type of job, it's all about having hobbies. Plan out hobbies that result in tangible results. What I mean by that is don't just settle for watching TV or playing video games. Find a hobby that will have you complete a project of some sort. Write a novel, train for a 5k, learn an instrument, practice a new language, volunteer somewhere, etc. I find that those kinds of hobbies add meaning to your life and helps break up the monotony of work/sleep/work/sleep.

I hated my HOA for the short while I lived in one. But there are many people that love them. They provide a form of community upkeep that a lot of people value and they think the monthly fee is a perfectly justified for it.

They're also the kind of people that tend to conform to community standards anyways so they have no problem meeting the HOA restrictions.

Typically the people that don't like HOAs are those who are more likely to do something unconventional with their property, or "muh freedom" type of people that just don't like the concept of adhering to a neighborhood government.

When I first played through the game, I was legit scared of the X-Ray visor power outage sequence, as well as the first few times I fought the Chozo ghosts in Tallon Overworld.

The atmosphere created during those specific sequences (specifically the music and lighting changes) really added to the tension.
