And there's nothing wrong with that. But your subjective enjoyment of the games does not take away from the fact that GameFreak has been pumping out mediocre games that only sell as well as they do, because of the brand recognition.

Smaller developers that are starting to take cracks at the genre though, so maybe GameFreak will be forced to adapt to some competition.

My enjoyment does mean that that is in fact untrue. Been playing these games since day 1. I know what I like and dislike about Pokemon games. I know what I care about in Pokemon games. Sword and Shield is a very safe game but to call it mediocre is ridiculous. Calling this a fact is also silly

This. The graphics in Legends Arceus are pretty subpar though. Also in the Brillant Diamond / Shining Pearl trailer they showed dialogue that only mentioned 3 legendaries. So no Platinum Arceus content huh? Figures.... No buy for me.

They mentioned 3 legendaries because of the lore of Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. There will likely be the usual post game legendaries

I haven't played the Switch version yet, but I own it. I understand it removed the gimmick where you control two characters at once?

I'm knee deep in the game now. Basically certain actions bring out your partner so you attack with them and Neku at the same time. I could summon Shiki by tapping the enemy. She would do her three hit combo while I did crazy stuff with Neku. It works fine enough. Joshua took me a sec to get used to.

The partners have HP but they can't seem to get hit so I dunno what's going on there

I accidentally let the topic purge but I've been playing the shit outta this. I finished the week. Found out Shiki took on the appearance of her best friend. I am intensely curious what she actually looks like. Her friendship with Neku was sweet. I actually miss her now. Now I'm stuck with this Joshua prick. He might be ok.

Also that reaper boss was a pain in the ass. I wish this game had a block button. Took me at least 4 tries

oh boy, i been making my first playthrough of KH remix 1.5 and just finished up agrabah. so, do i lose all the items i give to tarzan and aladdin when they just abruptly leave my party?

You don't lose the items. They just stay on them until you decide to remove em. I wouldn't give guest party members anything too valuable. Prioritize Sora then Donald and Goofy

No it's really every Kingdom Hearts game that does this. 2 might have the best pacing since you get stuff like Timeless River and Hollow Bastion second visit which really shakes the story up. KH1 is you bumbling around until you get to Hollow Bastion and the actual stakes and villain appear. This is just how the games are.
