Your point is self defeating

There is no "set" definition of race. And if you go down the route of "Oh race is solely skin color" then you hit the same pit traps. What Race is The Rock?

Are Chinese and Hawaiian and Japanese people all the same race?

Because most of them wouldn't agree

The concept of race is bullshit and its fine to use it to mean "A group of people with a connection " and in fact dictionaries do

You could make the case that gamers are a race

I think it's perfectly fine to describe people with an anti UK or ant Canada or anti German or anti American prejudice as racist. I would

The word xenophobia already exists for what you're describing.

debatable

There Is no actual definition of race

Many consider nationality to be a race

its semantics

If you want to consider a nation full of European whites, Africans, east Asians, indians, and every other race under the sun as a monolith, sure, call the British a race.

Cameron.

They're both great, but with Cameron's lower output he really only has highs while Scott has a mix of highs and lows.

Honestly if your mass is good there's no problem with them being lighter on filling.

My wife's mom makes a shit ton of tamales a couple of times of year. We always get a bunch of bean ones for my mom and pork for me since my wife doesn't like pork. Jokes on her because because I like them all and will eat both.

If you go to games, 90% of the people are cool because tickets are expensive and the people that can comfortably drop money on them usually aren't the trashy, but every stadium is gonna have a pocket of fans like this.

I remember for the longest time dragon were pretty average until their third evo since they took so long to get there, and there weren't really any great dragon moves. So while that third evo might have really great stats they never really got to take advantage of them with stab, and anyone going up against the elite 4 would have a decent ice Pokemon that could just melt through them in one shot. Even back in gen 2 that dragon gym leader was preceded directly by a cave full of ice Pokemon and her kingdra was easy enough to take out even with ice not affecting it abnormally.

True. Simply knowing that STAB exists is fairly basic knowledge, but throwing it in with the Pokemon's attacking stats and the base power of different moves to figure out what the best move to use is can get pretty complicated. That's above the level that most kids and casual players would be at.

I think that's the cool thing about pokemon. It's a game that works on the level of casual players and hardcore competitive players trying to work the meta or find an edge. I never really play online at all and just do single player, go beat the elite 4 runs, and I love it for that. Every now and then I google "is X any good" and the second I do I'm like "no, it doesn't matter, I can beat the game with a pokemon I think is cool." Honestly, using the weaker pokemon I have that I think are cooler is usually better anyway since it makes the game harder and I get to use something that everyone else isn't using too. It's part of the reason nuzlocke runs are so appealing to me.

Here's a STAB question: what should I do if I have, say, a fire Pokemon with high physical and low special attack that only really learns special attack fire moves? I usually keep the best fire move on pokemon like that, but should I just skip the rest and give it the best physical attacks it can learn?

Topicis "the characters are unlikable" a valid criticism
codey

I think "the characters are unlikeable" is just a confused way of saying what people really mean. Someone mentioned Joffrey, and he's not likeable at all yet people want to read about what he does and see what happens next with him. Same with Jafar or Scar. They're not likeable in the least.

What people really mean when they say characters aren't likeable is that they aren't interesting. People like interesting characters. They hold their attention. Interesting characters make you want to keep reading whether they're likeable or not.

Breaking was a great example brought up earlier. How many times have you heard of someone disliking the show because Walt was a bad guy? It almost never happens. Meanwhile, a huge talking point while the show was airing was that the fans are misogynists because they didn't like Skyler. Lots were, to be fair, but the truth was that while Skyler did some shitty things fans really hated her because her purpose was to try and block Walt from doing interesting things. Skyler was overall a decent person and Walt was a piece of shit, but fans hated her and liked Walt because Walt was interesting.

Most didn't like it when I lived there. I always used to joke that even though they conquered countless people for spices they never used them.

Meat pies were ok. The cook in my lvillage pub used to do her own thing on Friday nights and she would get experimental so that was always nice, and her regular pub food wasn't bad either.

Nowadays i just think the singer just paid someone to write this song. Its just a product to sell. Even if they wrote it they wrote it with the intent to sell to the public. Music is just a product.

Music has been a product basically since it's inception.

I remember it being called chorus in elementary school, then music in high school.

It just seems odd while reflecting on it now. But I liked doing it back then.

For us it was the opposite. You had music class in elementary school and band and choir in middle/high school.

Yeah, but it was part of a "music" class even though the only instrument we played was a recorder. We'd stand up on the risers and sing for around 30 minutes. Mostly it was getting us ready for our school plays

More of a case of fix the rotting floorboards under you before you worry about the mold infestation on the ceiling. It's kind of like the whole noble mafia/yakuza trope. Doesn't really matter if you're upstanding in one particular category when you're still in a culture that perpetuates plenty of other vile shit.

It's just off that you have this sort of energy for a woman that has been shot and has spoken out against that culture.

Because moral grandstanding while continuing to participate in a culture where people regularly participate in criminal activities and sing about said activities is kinda just silly. This is a big case of "the whole scene is kinda fucked and anyone with an ounce of integrity would probably leave that sphere of influence if they weren't so incited by the lifestyle and/or money."

"Why call out THIS bad thing when you could call out THAT bad thing instead!"
