This is probably a minority opinion, but my favorite Wheel of Time character is Perrin AybaraLove Perrin! By the end he was no longer my favorite but he was for most of the series. I actually have a top 55 character list archived on another board. Written before the last book was out. Here was the top 5 then: 1. Mat 2. Perrin 3. Nynaeve 4. Aviendha 5. What's weird is my brother usually likes animation. He loved Castlevania and Invincible. It's a totally different animation style but he liked Arcane too. We talked a bit about why he bounces off anime so hard but we couldn't nail down what it was. It isn't subtitles because we grew up together watching foreign movies like Battle Royale and various ones from Hong Kong.Anime can be very...quirky.
