This will be a reboot. It's a TV show that recovers the books and movies. Each season is based on 1 book. So season 1 will only cover the events of the first book

According to that wiki link, it wasn't just the 90s. It goes way back to 1912 and happens almost every year up til current day. Though it just lists 1 example per year. I bet they just chose the most famous examples for each year. It probably happened even more often than is listed

To be fair the Pillars games are an isometric crpg while avowed is a skyrim style combat game so don't really need to play the 2 games.

Still recommend it though as they are great.

I only played Ultima. I tried to play Ultima 7 as a kid but I couldn't get very far. I also briefly played Ultima Online but again that game was tough and hardcore.
