IIRC, Nostalgia Critic also did a review of the AVGN movie, which was a special feature on the DVD for said movie. Doug (NC's real name, used when not playing the character) also cameoed in the movie itself. I used to years and years ago, now i drive forklift/work on the receiving dock. you like it there? costco pays more than any retail place right, do you know how much they start at at your store? It's okay. There are worse places to be at. That being said though, there's no mental stimulation for me - i've never seen it as a career even after all these years, it's just a job. When i first started it was a temp solution until i figured out what I wanted to do.....and then it just never stopped. And it's tough to leave now because i'm making 30+ bucks an hour, get two yearly bonuses and the benefits are terrific. So right at the beginning of the movie, Bond gets pushed out of a plane without a parachute by Jaws, and the other villain has already jumped out with a parachute. So Bond dives and catches the other guy midair, a fight ensues, Bond wrestles the chute off of him, the other guy is screwed and falls to his doom. Then a fight with Jaws in midair happens, as Jaws has a chute and has dived and chased after Bond now. The point of all this is that that entire scene took IIRC, 90-something jumps out of a plane to shoot. Even today it looks awesome. But today, that scene would be shot with green screen, wires, and giant fans. It would look phony as hell. --- 'We're not gonna make it, are we? People i mean.' Then out of absolute boredom one summer, i watched a little bit of a game. The next day, a little more. I started learning about how at every single second of the game, there's strategy going on all over even if it looks like nothing's happening. I weirdly found myself, slowly, starting to enjoy it. By the end of the summer, i was a fan. Present day, ive visited 8 different MLB ballparks and root for two teams. Watching an MLB game live, beer in hand on a warm summer night or day, its awesome. But i wont look down on people who dont understand the appeal of baseball, because i totally get it, i used to be that person. --- 'We're not gonna make it, are we? People i mean.' Yeah, it was amazing at first, but the problems they had early on just ballooned to be even worse later. I got sick of lower card people starting to get pushed, and then disappear for no reason for months afterwards. It happened to Wardlow like three times.
