We need to stop labeling such statements as dumb. The term dumb suggests a lack of intelligence or an unawareness of the facts. However, in this case, Babyface(or whatever) is fully aware that their assertions are false. Therefore, their stance is not one of ignorance, but rather a deliberate misrepresentation. Its a tactic used to garner backing from those who may not have all the information, as well as from those who are evil just like him.
