I'm pretty sure it's not gout since I stay away from meat too. I was heavily favoring sesamoiditis. Apparently this could last 2-4 weeks as long as I keep up with what I'm doing for treatment. I was changing the light bulbs in the house and hopped off the step stool instead of stepping off. I landed on the soft ball of my big toe and pain instantly shot through it. It wasn't too bad until 3 days later. I guess it's the sesamoid part of the foot I was reading. Worst nagging pain I've ever experienced. I'm taking ibuprofen, icing the area, and currently have kt tape around the area. The pain is giving me a limp and just sprung me out of my sleep and I've been laying here for a hour with it. Sucks cause I gotta be up for a back to back 16 hour shift in a couple hours with my nursing job. --- SIGNATURE |
