I pray it is not for 3DS. SMTIV was a step backwards from Nocturne in the aesthetics department in every sense (and everything else but that's my opinion). While I would most certainly settle for anything mainline SMT on any system at this point, I'd prefer if it was made on a system with near limitless capabilites like the PS4 instead of a handheld system with PS2-level limits on its graphics and in its dying stages.

Not the biggest fan of the FPS genre in general (there are few I love though) but I've never given this series a chance.
I'd like to start with the best game in the series so that I can see for myself whether the series is or is not for me.

For the record. I watched Fire Walk With Me and I thought it was kinda bad and expected much much more.

Highlights from season 1 and the good parts of season 2 were:

- Laura Palmer mystery obviously
- Cooper and Harry browski running things in town
- Audrey Horne
- The mystery of the Black Lodge
- Leland Palmer acting all psycho and his singing and dancing
- "That's damn good coffee" - Agent Cooper

I liked the first Season of Twin Peaks a lot. The characters were interesting. The dialogue was interesting enough for a show made in the early 90s. The cheesiness (juuuuuust youuuu and eiiiiiiiiiiii) and strangeness also meshed well together. The central focus of the plot i.e the Laura Palmer murder mystery and the supernatural elements surrounding it were all very intriguing.

My fondness carried over to much of the 2nd season as well. Leland being revealed as Killer Bob's vessel and all the episodes leading up to it were all very good.

But then the show just went into a lull with no real purpose. The episodes after Laura Palmer's mystery was solved till the finale was agonizing to get through, to say the least. The 2nd season finale however was a true revival and concluded on a cliffhanger which left me with much anticipation for Twin Peaks: the Return. The only reason I have not given up watching the show was because I wanted to watch the Return so bad.

So about The Return. I absolutely loved the first two episodes and the attention to detail on the Black Lodge. But then things fell apart very very quickly as soon as Cooper came out of the lodge.

The show is moving at a snail's pace and it is hard to watch one of the most lovable protagonists in TV history act like Tarzan just learning how to speak. It has been a George of the Jungle ****show since Cooper's arrival with episodes not doing much to raise any stakes in the plot or create any sense of urgency or purpose.

I just finished episode 6 of The Return right now and I hope someone here can convince me that the show gets significantly better.

I'm gonna go with Silent Hill 1. I don't think anything in any media has scared me more than Otherworld Midwich Elementary School. The atmosphere was a true work of art that was dreadful, suffocating, and made you feel like you were in the deepest darkest part of hell. Just amazing.

Silent Hill 1 > P.T > Silent Hill 2

As far as scariest games are concerned.
