The way America built the Middle Class after WW2 was by paying people a decent wage in which they then could go out and make purchases but as it stand now America has gotten away from that model and we have more and more people struggling to make ends meet which means that will eventually dwindle down and create havoc for businesses.

We have over the course of the last few years, seen some of the most well known stores going belly up i.e. Sears, JC Penney, Neiman-Marcus, J. Crew, Bed Bath and Beyond, Steak N' Shake, Nordstrom, Ruby Tuesday, Dave and Buster's, Toys R Us, Chuck E Cheese, The Gap etc to name a few and while the pandemic obviously played a role, some of these businesses were going under before the pandemic.

In order to have a great economy, employers have to lift up their employees by paying a fair wage that enables people to have disposable income and right now that isn't the case.

We have people who own businesses that have made them billionaires many times over yet they pay people barely $30,000 a year and an economy can't be sustain in that manner.

No not really. It's basically about how the big food giants of today were created. Some were accidents and some were stolen. C.W. Post stole the idea of making breakfast cereal from the Kellogg brothers when he was a patient at their medical facility in Battle Creek MI.

It's really interesting, H.J. Heinz basically invented ketchup to mask the awful smell and taste of spoiled meats. Remember there was no refrigeration in the late 19th century and less than 10 percent of homes in America had any type of way to preserve food.

Refrigerators didn't become widespread until after WW2.

And these guys were cutthroat. Frank Mars, the founder of Mars candy didn't get along with his son Forrest so he cut him out of the company and banished him to Europe. While in Europe, Forrest came across some chocolate with a hard shell covering it. He learned later that his father Frank had died and no one bothered to tell him so he came back armed with this candy formed a partnership with a guy at Hershey's named Murrie to supply his new company with chocolate and voila "M&M's" were born.

He then bought a controlling interest in his father's Mars candy company.

The brothers who founded Domino's Pizza fell out and the older brother bought out the younger brother by giving him an old beat up VW bug they had used for home deliveries thereby cutting his brother out of what would have been an $800M stake in Domino's.

Geez he took a VW bug in exchange for $800M but he couldn't have known that at that time.

Romney is like the one Republican who I can say with confidence would not have Democrats killed given the chance.

The only time the GOP whines about elections is when they lose then they start the same old crap about voter fraud which isn't as big of a factor as they pretend it is but the only reason they cry foul in regards to voter fraud is because Black people vote.

As it stands now, the minimum wage is and always has been a joke and should be done away with in favor of a national annual salary that could start at say $40,000 a year.

Now there would be some kinks that need to be worked out but it could be done if exchange for the minimum wage.

LOL You think it's funny? Stay tuned because it's coming. Baby boomers have been stripped of their golden years as more and more people in the their 60s and 70s are finding themselves having to continue to work.

Right now America (and this is funny too) ranks near the bottom in terms of all metrics used to measure quality of life and you know who's above and beneath us, 3rd world countries.

The United States now ranks behind countries with far less wealth, including Estonia, the Czech Republic, Cyprus and Greece.

Post WW2 America, most of our products were "American Made" then that all began to change in the 1970s so much so that America no longer makes tv's, appliances etc.

I looked at my appliances in my kitchen and they were all made in some part of China. Very little if any of the things in my were made in America and to me that's sad but it's also demonstrate the lengths manufacturers go to to make money outside of this country at the expense of American workers.

Neither do I but I suspect the only reason people assume that it is is based on race because keep in mind up until the passage of the Voting Rights Act, African-Americans could not vote but when that ceased to exist and people running for office who displayed racist ideals knew that those people wouldn't vote for them so they had to resort to shenanigans to win elections and that's why when those kind of people lose an important election, they start yelping about voter fraud.

Not sure but I watched a video of Trump at a party with none other than Jeffrey Epstein and in the video which appeared to be a party, Trump is seen groping what appears to be underaged girls and he's seen telling Epstein that one of the young ladies were hot.

I also recalled a radio interview with Howard Stern in which Trump referred to his daughter Ivanka as a "hot piece of a" so who knows but at the very least Trump is and always has been a despicable human being and that's on record.
