Another pokemon based on an ancient Japanese artifact that I like, Bronzong is based on a Dotaku bronze bell (this is why its Japanese name is Dotakun) from the Yayoi period. He is a big weird bell with red eyes and that's a good pokemon in my opinion. Although I'm annoyed by salazzle's horniness, I will still vote it up as I am a lizard fan (I need to be my house is just lousy with lizards)

I'm a big fan of floating suns with faces and also a fan of strange masks; this particular form of brain damage places Solrock in my top 20 pokemon. I also like weird sea life, and so cradily fits in there. Lurantis is a given. Conversely yungoos just sucks and golem is stupid looking in the bad way. It's not like geodude is great, but then they took a big step down into the pile of dogshit that is golem.

On the negative side, obligatory low vote for shitty monkey, also probably the two worst cross-gen evos in generation 4, both ruined their initial concepts. Tangrowth was just starting with a shittier concept.

Sableye has always been one of my favorites; I tried using this thing when it first came out despite having terrible stat just because I'm partial to little gremlins with gemstone eyes. When he got prankster I was overjoyed, and I've used him on ladder as recently as this year (because of quash, encore, and fake out, which is a sort of horrifying combo). I don't actually dislike anything in this division much.

I'm sure it'll be back next gen given the next legends game is being set in Pokeparis. Maybe we'll get mega furfrou, which I am cautiously pessimistic about

I'm a Tapu fan, I think they have cool thematics, and Tapu Koko is probably the best of them. Diglett variants continue to be jokes that don't land, golbat is stupid looking and gloom is disgusting. That rounds out this division!

The 'iron' names I think are really a lost in translation thing. They're direct translations of the Japanese names (ie Tetsu-no-X, where X is a three syllable word) which have a much better flow and mouth feel than the english versions, even if the meanings are the same.

This pokemon has severe mental illness!

Sawk is the nasty angry 'martial arts' young uncle who tries to beat up his nephews by 'showing them moves' at family gatherings. In pokemon form.
