i like it when they find clues to the idol and have to find it with a bit of wits. it really annoys me when they constantly just straight up find idols over and over. it's way too strong for how often it happens. just blindly searching until you find it is lame.

tbh i'm not very fond of the Beyond style, I prefer to the simplicity of the way the cards look in game. Most card games make them look that way and they look too... busy. It cheapens them somehow.

Here's what the Empire's propaganda has told you: Darth Vader and the Emperor killed all the Jedi in the galaxy. They are the only two force users left alive. Except, of course, for the two survivors we know were in hiding. Obi Wan Kenobi and Yoda. They are the only two force users who survived their purge.

Except.... why does that need to be true? The galaxy is a big place. Why can't there be other Jedi hiding out somewhere just like Obi Wan was for all those years? In fact, it seems almost guaranteed that there's more Jedi out there. The EU played with this a lot - there were tons of padawans and jedi knights coming out of the wood work in those novels.

Before Palpatine's power play in the prequels, the Jedi Council didn't know about there being any secret Sith lords hanging out. So where did Palpatine come from? Darth Maul and Count Dooku? Well, they were just some bad force users hanging out waiting for their moment to strike.

So just like it's likely there's Jedi who have been hiding from the Empire in secret unbeknownst to them, there's always been Sith hiding out that the council don't know about. And why would Palpatine's Sith be the only ones? That dumb "Rule of Two" thing that makes no sense?

The answer to where Snoke comes from is obvious - it doesn't matter. He's been in hiding for a very long time waiting for the right opportunity. So the empire's forces being leaderless was the perfect time for him to just swoop in and show everyone how good at making lightning he is. It makes just a much sense as Palpatine being a hidden Sith or for Yoda to be hiding in that swamp.

It's almost a certainty that we'll see other rogue Jedi and Sith who have "been there the whole time" show up in future movies if these things keep getting pumped out.

I kinda include Snoke with Kylo Ren and Rey. I'm completely fine with what happened with him. He's not really a fleshed out character in his own right, he's just a fixture in the plot that's just there for Kylo Ren to overcome. Which is totally fine. He was totally awesome and served his purpose, and he didn't need to be anything more than he was.

I know a lot of people wanted more backstory for him to justify who he is or whatever but that was totally unnecessary. We saw exactly who he was in that awesome throne room scene.

Blizzard is possibly the most pro communication with players company in the entire industry. In fact, they often communicate too candidly and give players lots of petty ammo to use against them when they don't get exactly what they want.

They definitely dropped the ball on that ladder change though.

I just saw it, thought it was pretty good. Lara's arc from the start of the movie to the end was great. It's believable for her to have the skills to do the things she does towards the end, but she didn't have the life experience and fortitude to do them until she goes through what happens at the various stages of the movie.

I thought the Himiko stuff was a great twist. It fit perfectly with the mythology built up throughout the movie and it all made a ton of sense. Even though it isn't how things go in the game at all.

Alicia Vikander was perfect. I always liked Jolie in the role but I always kind of saw her as Angelina Jolie playing Lara Croft whereas I felt like I actually watched Lara Croft this time.

The Hand are fine villains. I see this a lot - people say that the Hand just don't work as villains for a myriad of reasons and never could have worked. That isn't the case. The Hand can be great and even is great at different points in the Netflix MCU shows.

But in The Defenders they are just horribly written. Gao is an incompetent underling, the black guy gets beaten off screen somehow, their motivation is super vague. They just want to go home? they want more of the substance, which they've had for hundreds of years already??? The dragon bones just give them more of the substance they already had but just ran out of?? What even was the point of the Black Sky? What the hell were the Chaste? Nothing ever really makes sense. Sigourney Weaver had potential but she didn't live up to it, and they didn't utilize Elektra well at all. Her training was super generic. But they certainly had all the pieces they need. They just didn't think it out properly. It's like they just started filming when they had half a script and never quite worked out why anything was happening.

i do think they could have strong armed Sebastian and Chelsea a little more - vote with us or YOU will be the target! If they got them to verbally agree to do it in tribal that would be so huge for destroying Naviti cohesion., even if they still intended to vote Malolo.

Like others have said, saying Bradley is the target no matter what gives no risk to them - either vote the Malolo's and vote them off, or hit the idol and they lose Bradley. Why switch sides and lose Bradley for sure and show yourself to be a ship jumper?

I'm sure we'll see lots of cards that seem very disparate in strength though, but I'm sure there'll be times where they are similar but the player doesn't agree...

btw I never really felt like Jessica wasn't contributing. She did that thing in the first episode where she had to go across that zip line above a giant canyon to get a flag. That looked TERRIFYING and I thought that would be a Cody thing for sure. I don't think that was technically a road block but she's had tons of memorable roadblocks since then... like that time she screwed over Britney with the gnome, and that time she screwed over Britney with the phones.

Specific diets like keto can help, and setting up exercise regiments can help. But ultimately the thing that drives weight loss is CICO: Calories In and Calories Out.

If the Calories In exceed the Calories Out, you gain weight.

If the Calories Out exceed Calories In, you lose weight.

If they are about even, then you stay even. It's just math.

If you are doing a diet that focuses on certain healthy food types, it can help if the portions are low enough that you would be eating less calories. But if you eat large portions, the Calories In will still be high. No diet helps you lose weight if you are still eating until long after you are satisfied, even if the food types are technically healthier and more nutritious. On the flipside, if you eat relatively unhealthy foods but tone down how much of it you are eating, it can still help you lose weight (though you might suffer from poor nutrition in other ways).

To help track the amount of Calories In every day, I highly recommend you use the app MyFitnessPal (or something like it) which helps you very easily track how much food you are eating. You can search most foods and they come up very quickly, or you can scan the barcode on something you've bought and it'll come up with how much calories it has. It becomes very apparent where extra calories are coming from. Even if you still choose to eat out for example, if you just cut out that large soda from the combo meal you'll instantly save like 150 calories for the day. When you are forced to look at how much everything adds up to, it makes it way easier to just say "yeah i actually don't need that".

The general rule of thumb I think to lose weight is to consume under 2000 calories a day. This can vary based on your goals but the normal metabolism just for your body to live is supposedly around 2000, which is why you shoot for under that number.

You can do exercises every day which helps increase the Calories Out by expending energy during a workout, but if you don't keep your diet relatively under control, you probably still won't beat Calories In. Exercise can help your body get more in shape in general but weightloss wise it mostly just helps and accelerates the gain you get from keeping your diet under control.

You are a super methodical guy so I think approaching any changes you make in terms of CICO will help you a lot. No matter what diet you choose to take, try to apply CICO to it to make sure your calorie deficit is actually benefiting from it.

Woooo I was rooting for Yale but I came for Big Brother and am totally satisfied. I liked all four final teams though

Fun first season to watch.

Do people like Phil? He seems really boring. He's generic middle aged white guy host and everything thing he says is bland. His attempts at humour usually fall pretty flat. He doesn't have the charisma, enthusiasm, or improvisational skill of Jeff Probst, or the deliberate professionalism of the Chenbot.

They could replace Phil with a voiceover and I don't think I'd even notice.

i'm trying combo dragon priest and this might be it. the first priest deck that i don't love.

I was a huge huge fan of silence priest in Ungoro and I've played a ton of Dragon Priest since BRM, but man, combining them feels bad. Either I can't activate my dragons or I have nothing to play all my combo cards on! It feels so useless! I spend a lot of time passing turns because none of my cards do anything

Maybe I'm playing it wrong somehow though

I often reroll 40g's but ultimately the most important thing is to reroll quests I am just not going to do.

Is 10-20g difference worth playing a class or archetype I'm going to hate? Is my time and enjoyment worth that little?
