I suppose this hardly helps the argument since I dont know how loans work in great detail over there... But in my country if you do not make enough money to pay back the debt at a steady rate, even though you have been working for 15 years, then the student debt is forgiven.

In America you can base your repayment on your income so it doesn't tank you, and if you pay it for 25 years straight, it is discharged regardless of balance left.

Let's be honest here, Corrik. There are a LOT of fucked up financial issues in this country that no one is addressing in any capacity because one of our two parties does not give the slightest shit about fixing them (and in fact their only real economic policy seems to be cutting taxes for the rich), while the other party is made up of a voter base whose majority (older, middle class white people who are largely unaffected by the status quo) does not want to increase social programs, since said programs either wouldn't benefit them, or they WOULD benefit people they don't think deserve it.

Healthcare, minimum wage, student debt, unionization...these are all issues that the GOP does not give a shit about addressing, because their voters are easily riled up by threats of trans people. And the majority of Democratic voters don't really feel negative affects from those issues. So even if a very vocal group of young people support all of the above matters, there's no momentum in their favor. Meanwhile, forgiving student debt is a very simple concept to explain in execution, whether someone likes it or not, and it doesn't require the average person to really think long-term about fixing things.

Neither party actually wants to stop that. It's just a carrot on a stick.

Perhaps but it's relief catered moreso to the upper class, which is amusing. It's like when democrats went apeshit over SALT. I kept showing how SALT only benefits the rich due to the level of the standard reduction. Yet, democrats continued to stan for it because it was about their base. The problem with school loan forgiveness is that it isn't a very effective way to unburden the poor.

It tends to hit the upper class way more than you would like because they are more likely to go to college in the first place and they are more likely to attend higher costing schools.

They can afford to pay their school loans off but choose to float them for credit and because it's better usage of their money to invest in the stock market all money they could have paid on their school loans for a higher ROI than the interest on the loan is.

The total student loan debt is $1.75 trillion, and federal debt alone exceeds $1.62 trillion; households in higher income brackets are more likely to hold high amounts of debt.

• Households with income in the 90th percentile held 11% of all student loan debt prior to 2020.[1]

• Households with income in the 51st to 75th percentile hold 29% of student loan debt.

If it was 8-1 it doesn't sound like it was a very divisive case. The lone dissent doesn't even really say it was wrong, but it should have been handled by the NLRB instead.

I did ask and got confirmation that my role redirects any action unless otherwise specified. Kills included. I didn't ask about the movement thing, but I don't see why I wouldn't be seen moving. I would expect any other redirecting role to be seen moving.

I'm not sure why you would be moving as you aren't actually going somewhere but redirecting someone else there.

Probably important to remember that g Corp didn't expect to lose their ninja when these vanilla claims came in. And the two I think are g Corp are vanilla claims.

The bouncer needs to ask A. Does the power redirect kills and B. Does the action count as moving to the target selected.

If it doesn't count as moving, then we are down to just 3 people who claim to be able to move.

In fact, everyone but me, plum, isquen, and the bouncer have claimed to not move in this game.

Here's the thing though. Red and Mzero claimed non-moving roles. If they are seen moving ever, they are toast.

The real quirk of this setup is that Doctor and Bouncer can target each other and be completely invincible if scum doesn't have a roleblocker to shut down Bouncer or a strongman to pierce through.

Nonetheless, I agree that Red's claim is fishiest of all the protection here.

I highly don't believe the Bouncer can redirect kills. It's why I asked him to ask.

I say we leave Plum, Isquen, and Dumey alone for now. Those three will resolve themselves if any of them end up dead at any point. So either we focus on the Vanillas or focus on the remaining power roles in the form of Red, MZero, and Corrik.

Would it be possible that G Corp has another roleblocker? That's the only way I could see all of this protection being possible in this setup. Otherwise, yeah, I'm a little suspicious of how much protection there is here that scum can't deal with without a roleblocker. Or in Bulletproof's case, Strongman.

We don't necessarily know that, but if MZero pulls up a guilty scan of any kind, it could help.

There's no way scum can break through a network of Doc -> Watcher -> Bouncer -> Doc without sacrificing a dude to take the fall deliberately, anyway. So it's not like there's going to be any other townies left to back up unless G Corp really feels like sacrificing one of their own to break that cycle of immunity.

In a nutshell, I choose a person at night. If they are shot, I save them from death. I am told if my action was successful, but not if I actually successfully saved someone or not. Once a successful save happens, it basically is a bodyguard. I die instead of the target the next successful time.

Thus, basically, 1 use doc save, 1 use bodyguard.
