I thought it was better than Rise personally, but I really enjoyed this movie. Seems like it could be the start of something that could bring up the quality like Dawn and War did after Rise. Definitely felt like they were really setting something up.

Yeah as much as I love Rise and think its a phenomenal movie, rewatching it makes it feel like its all just setup to get to the post apocalyptic setting that the rest of the series focuses on.

So I agree that Kingdom is better than Rise, but probably not as good as Dawn or War. Id have to rewatch Kingdom down the line for a better stance, but on a first watch I think Dawn and War are better films.

I think the biggest thing about Reddit that drives me nuts are the super cringy one liners and their chain of annoying one liner responses that usually follow. Just the absolute unfunniest cheesy shit youll ever read in your life, that gets upvoted like crazy because people think they are so clever and witty.

is it better to do good, neutral, or evil for a first playthrough? are certain builds better for certain karma alignments?

Yeah I do remember reading about that. His track record so far is The Maze Runner trilogy, which makes me feel very ehhh on how hell do with both this new Apes movie and now Zelda.

Still its only been 3 movies all from one franchise (a YA novel series too so you can only do so much with those), so well see how he does with these other more beloved franchises.

Dawn and War are some of the best movies to come out the last decade, Rise is still great too but just not on the same level as Dawn and War.

This new one has a new director behind it, so I'm lowering my expectations as I don't think it will be as good as the last two, but I'll still give it a chance. Cautiously optimistic for sure, as I love the visual style of the reboot series a lot.

I really wanted to love Galaxy, and parts of it I do (especially the soundtrack). But if I'm being perfectly honest, I played Galaxy twice all the way through and Odyssey only once, and Odyssey was still infinitely more memorable.

Im actually very surprised of this topic as usually Galaxy gets a big circlejerk on this board. I think its the most overrated Mario game, its the only 3D Mario that I didnt finish because I got so bored with it around 75% of the way through.

Was meaning to go back and finish it but its been like 3-4 years now since I last played, so not anytime soon.

Almost a tie between 3 and 4. Dont really have the time to play both, I wanna play a good chunk of a playthrough before I start the show, but I dont wanna take too long to watch it.

Leaning towards 4 since I finished 3 and its DLC waaay back when they first came out, but never played more than 10-15 hours of 4 overall.

Ive played all 3 of those but its been several years, and I know everyone is gonna recommend me to play New Vegas (and rightfully so, it is probably the best one imo), but which of these games will give me the best synergy in terms of material with the TV show before I watch it?

I always dreamed that Half Life 3 and Portal 3 would be this large crossover game, since they are both in the same universe. Like its the same grand story that served as a finale to both series, with each game being played in the viewpoint of either Chell or Gordon.

Dont think well ever get either of those games regardless of the concept though

You can see some noticeable but not too crazy changes to her facial features in season 3, but Im kinda anxious to how she will look in season 4 after these even bigger changes she recently had like in this photo.

Its so ironic because getting plastic surgery/cosmetic changes like this goes against Starlights character/viewpoints in the show so much

Its about to be almost exactly 2 years since I last played OSRS too, keep thinking I should get back into it every now and then but I never end up doing it. Is this a sign I should finally do it?

I was mostly working on getting a quest cape, and did almost every single quest except for one last Master quest and all the Grandmasters, but I just could not beat the final boss of that last Master quest (Sins of the Father) after 15+ tries. Thats what made me quit the game completely lol

Exact same feeling here, I saw all 3 seasons for the first time ever back this January. Cant believe I slept on it for so long, such an incredible show that I wish I knew was this good before so Id have checked it out sooner.

Now just waiting for season 4, which is only a few months away, so its the best time to get into it honestly.

Theres also the spin off show Gen V, which unfortunately I didnt care for too much. Its not anywhere near as good as The Boys honestly. Sad to hear about Chance Perdomos death though, I did think his character was good in the show.

Yesterday I went to McDonalds before work, and I paid around $4.80 or so total for two sandwiches (McChicken and McDouble) and a medium fries.

Compared to every other place around my work, where I have to pay $15-17 total for just one meal for myself. A sub from subway, a bowl/burrito from chipotle, and combo meal from this Hawaiian bbq place, it always ends up being $15-17.

If McDonalds ever changes there absolutely insane value that I consistently get from there, that will be a sad day indeed. That combo I get fills me up the same way the other stuff I get from other places at a third of the price.

I dont like or play sports games but I love seeing shit like this lol

Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and Ted Lasso are my 3 favorite TV shows of all time (that are complete).

Only one season is out, but I think if Severance continues to be as good as it is, it will join my hall of fame for perfect tv shows.

Nah, I actually think each season is better than the last. I saw season 3 pretty late, and didnt think season 2 could be topped (especially with the bad reception season 3 got), but man was I surprised to see that season 3 was even better than 2. Dont understand the hate at all.

I saw the other 3 previous films (1, 2, and Afterlife) for the first time back when Afterlife came out in theaters, and I honestly think Afterlife is MUCH better than the older originals. And nostalgia isnt a factor since I never saw the originals until then.

Ill probably check out this one since I liked Afterlife so much.

One more bump, curious about that Elden Ring/Dune connection more than anything, wanna know what was meant there about those shared elements

but sable takes place in a sandy area and has a cool artstyle. the game itself is kinda average tho. still fun.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, my top two choices to check out and play are Dune 2000 and Dune Spice Wars. I'll go for the remastered 2000 version of Dune 2 since the original seems a bit too old for my liking. Dune Spice Wars looks a lot like Civilization V, which I liked so maybe I'll give that one a shot too (plus it's the most modern one).

I am very curious what you mean by this. I am a huge SoulsBorne fan myself, played all 3 Dark Souls games and Bloodborne multiple times, I own Elden Ring but haven't started it yet since I was kind of waiting for the DLC to come out first before diving in. What specific elements do you mean that remind you of the Dune universe? I don't mind spoilers.

So I, like many others, am super into Dune right now because of Part Two recently releasing. Seen the movie twice already, and Im in the middle of reading the book. To put it simply, I have Dune mania.

Now are there any video games I can play that can scratch that Dune itch for me? Doesnt even have to be exactly from the universe, just something similar.

Any popular mods for modern games, or just games with a similar feel to the series? Game genre doesnt really matter to me (for the most part)

I was thinking maybe Fallout mods or Mass Effect, but would like to hear some more ideas of anyone has any, open to anything.

Any jump scares or loud sudden noises? I really wanna see it in IMAX, especially since itll be in 70mm format, but I just cant handle that stuff especially with the louder IMAX speakers.

For reference. I saw and absolutely loved Oppenheimer in IMAX 70mm, but I had notes on when the (numerous too) loud sudden noises happened in the movie so I knew when to cover my ears.

Is there some sort of legal reason on why they couldnt name Peter Parker or May? Those two characters they specifically went out of their way not to mention so I assume thats the reason why, with the balloon popping before Peters name is mentioned and Ben just refusing to name his new girlfriend when asked.

Secret Invasion is nowhere near as bad as everyone online says it is, except for the last episode. Crazy how over hated anything from the MCU is now because its so cool to hate on marvel nowadays

Its standalone from anything else DC related, but its the final movie of the Nolan Batman trilogy, so you would only have to see Batman Begins and The Dark Knight beforehand to fully understand everything.

The first two movies are both better anyway so I would recommend watching them first either way.

Im watching Gen V after The Boys, recently finished all 3 available seasons a couple days ago. Got two episodes left of Gen V.

I feel like the characters in Gen V are massively worse in quality than The Boys, and the plot isnt doing it for me as well as the really bad awkward forced romances.

Like, the thesis statement for The Boys seems to be "hey, wouldn't it suck if superman and other heroes were dicks?" And the answer is... yeah, that would suck.

Invincible, at least, has a lot more to say, about a lot more topics. Especially when you realize that Mark is the Superman stand in, and not Omni Man.

Ill probably get to Invincible next after finishing Gen V (not the biggest fan of this one unfortunately).
