the last girl who hurt me was very, very confusing with her behaviour but would always come across very rational and kind with the way she did it(and the way she said things). her actions really betrayed her words which left me with even more questions

Yep. Honestly the only reason I got together with her and broke my "no coworker" rule was we were friends for years prior so there was a lot of good feelings and comfort there

Like she doesn't owe me attention so w.e. if she doesn't wanna bombard me w texts or FB messages and wants to detach and go back to doing her own thing then fine, but I'm still pissed about it.

My younger sister had to endure me venting about this and she seemed convinced that she wanted to stop seeing me because she was busy/isnt feeling it rn but wanted to keep the door open and not friendzone herself and that's why she just drifted off instead.

I'm pissed at how I was treated and I'm pissed that she didn't live up to the hype

Background:

- Was seeing a girl I work with for a few months.
- We barely see each other through the holidays.
- We message on NYE back and forth. She asks what I'm doing and I respond. --- No reply and the messages weren't ever marked as read.
- Over the next few days I send three followups being like "?" "Hey?" And "Are we good?", same deal.
- I begin to think she's pissed I didn't invite her to NYE.
- A few days later at work I asked her what was up and mention NYE. She seemed genuinely surprised I thought we weren't good and told me I was "overthinking" and that she wasn't checking messages and was "busy" with life.
- I made some comment about how if she wanted a break from talking or w.e. she could've just said so and she kinda chuckled and said something like "that's too uncomplicated for me"

Whenever we happen to work together things are civil and friendly. Almost like nothing ever happened, albeit she's not as physical/handsy as she was prior, obviously.

We still haven't spoken outside of work since. I made no effort to reach out and neither has she.

Anyway, I'm seeing other people rn but when she's around even though it's nice we're still friendly I feel like I'm still hurt/sore over what went down. Gonna try to shift stuff around so we're not overlapping as much.
