Oh yes, and I feel it's worth noting that student loans often give parents power over their children into their 20s or even beyond. This is likely, in part, an intentional reaction to the '60s and '70s, when college campuses were nexuses of protest movements.

Because progressives aren't approved by corporate daddy.

Helping people would get in the way of corporate bailouts after their high risk decisions stop turning record profits.
Yeah, to use one example: Medicare for All would completely level the private health insurance industry, which is a major donor to the Democratic Party and Democratic politicians(as well as Republicans, of course). However, it would be highly beneficial to Democratic voters(and the public in general).
Ill let you take one guess which interest the Democrats prioritize. The essential tension on this issue(and many others) is that mainstream Dems generally think things are mostly fine and all that is necessary is some tinkering. Progressives generally want major reforms, and leftists basically want to build new, more equitable systems.
To mainstream Dems, especially the partys often gerontocratic leadership, this all seems hopelessly naive, at best, and destructive at worst. They demonstrated in the 2020 primaries how far theyll go to preserve the status quo.

How so? Bernie lost because the DNC was able to realize the kind of threat he was and had amy and pete drop out just for biden can compete. Bernie still would have won if warren dropped out to help bernie. Having it all at once also gives each state a fair chance to vote for their candidate. Since like someone said the last states only get to vote on the people that are left. Would also help candidates with fundraising since they will have more money to spend on the presidency not just being the front runner for the party.
I suppose you're right.

Bernie had a commanding lead in the first few primaries, and Biden still crushed him after South Carolina. What would changing the state order have done? Just have Biden be the front runner from the start?
Not really: he won Iowa and New Hampshire narrowly. His biggest victory by far was in Nevada, a margin sufficiently threatening that the party decided he needed to be stopped.

It's almost impossible to model how the order would affect things(other than that he still wins huge in Nevada), because momentum is absolutely a vital factor in primaries. People like to vote for winners, or just don't vote at all if they perceive their favored candidate as losing by the time their state comes up.

My own suggestions:
1) Caucuses are dumb and bad and should be abolished yesterday
2) Having fixed states going first is dumb and bad, even if they're more diverse than Iowa and New Hampshire. Rotate them, and try to get a representative sample of the voting public between the first 3-4.
3) Based on the fact that Bernie won California quite handily and still lost overall, you don't necessarily need to hold the big states back.

Happy Valentine's Day, CE! Hopefully you're spending it with that special some one, but many of us aren't so fortunate. Me, for example.
I got this idea from earlier in the week, when a coworker's boyfriend came in and she brought him all around the store and introduced him to everyone him, proudly declaring, "This is my boyfriend!" I hope a woman shows ME off like that...

Like her coworker, the little redhead I have a crush on. I try and take my half when she does(she usually tells me when she's going to take hers) and she got wings from hot bar. That woman loves wings, and I happened to look over in her direction, and she had chewed a wing clean. There was basically nothing left on it!
She's sweet and seems like she has a good head on her shoulders too.

As far as if the insurrectionists were treated like a BLM protest and more of them died, right-wing media would absolutely have (gleefully) portrayed it as a massacre of unprecedented brutality and urged patriots to respond in-kind.

A blizzard would definitely kill it, or at least come very close.

The reason her Garchomp is so nasty is first and foremost that Garchomp itself is a beast. It's very fast and hits like a truck, but it's also reasonably sturdy.
It also runs obscenely powerful attacks: in D/P, it has Earthquake(100 BP), Dragon Rush(120 BP), Giga Impact(150 BP), and Brick Break(75 BP). Dragon Rush can miss, and Giga Impact is basically Hyper Beam(because Hyper Beam became a special attack in Gen 4). Add in the fact it likely has several levels on your team(particularly on a first attempt) and it's not hard to see why it's a challenge. Unless you have something really sturdy(that's not weak to any of its attacks), most of your pokemon are going to die in 1-2 hits.

In Platinum, it swaps out Brick Break for Flamethrower and drops 4 levels. And before you ask, yes: Garchomp is a respectable special attacker, and you're very lucky it's not Fire Blast. Brick Break comes back in rematches, and also it shoots up to level 78.
