No, you can just jump to level 100.

Your account may have been compromised at some point and they fiddled with your character. The alternative is that your account was inactive enough that Blizzard freed up your character's name for use; it's still there, but the name won't show up in the armory or whatever.

if its the second how do I get the character back? I also had a authenticator on my blizzard account until overwatch released because I coundnt even get in at a friends house without it.
