Asobo and MS made the mistake of giving the glass cockpit c172 for the euro bush trip. Im able to program a direct to destination and even though they stopped the magenta line from displaying on the map it still shows on my heading indicator
fuck even autopilot with nav mode works. Hopefully it doesnt detect this as using assistance and achieve block me

Beats me Ive never heard the term before but from what I played its a long flight around the country at low altitude. Using only visual references and you dont have gps.

no, but it made me confident for my real life checkride when I have to demonstrate navigation skills which sucks when you dont have gps

yes/no. Each leg is anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour. So you land at airports in between to refuel and the game saves when you land it at the next required airport so you can finish it later

Just finished the California-Nevada bush trip without assistance, using only pilotage (looking at a map and comparing the landscape to it to determine where you are) and dead-reckoning (traveling in a set heading and using a clock to determine where I was approximately. Frankly fuck that trip I became lost several times on some legs.

I checked it out since its on gamepass. Issues I am having are I cant find other survivors, buildings are already looted in the world, no food or water so I starve to death in about 10 minutes.

boring flying Im assuming. The game doesnt have visual damage or explosions from crashing. It just goes to a black screen and says you over stressed the aircraft or you crashed.

Theres a Eurofighter Typhoon and some other fighter jet for like $20 each. Are both a hard pass?

On a side note i tried DCS but that game just wont work right with my flight controls. The flaps switch controls my thrust even when its set to only control flaps.
