I can think of minor example; the Company of Heroes games allows for the burning of forests and making of craters

I can think of major examples; Dungeon Keeper - in order for traps to work you have to maintain the dungeon's integrity... the breaking of some of your dirt walls can make shortcuts.

There's a medium example that's not used; in Warcraft 2 you destroy forests as you cut them down... but it's never really used as a barrier or shortcut

edit: I think I like the wisp effect more, but they move too far away. Maybe lower the initial brightness slightly and lower their speed overall

It's one thing to have limited inventory, that's fine, but they made it cumbersome to manage even that.

I like 2 a fair bit, but it relies far too heavily on its writing. The gameplay for some of the classes is still pretty solid though

A giant shrimp... just, like, dead on the side of the road.

How did it get there? It still had its head and eyes and tail so I don't think it fell out of someone's jumbo shrimp combo, and I never seen one so big - about 4~5 inches.
