I can still hold my own, but I'm not in the awesome conditioning I was in while boxing (at the end of high school into my early 20's. I don't know if work/bills is to blame for that, age, drinking, or what.) After a while, you start getting tired of fighting. (And tired of drinking, for that matter.)

When I'm walking with one of my female friends, I'm not hoping I can "prove my manliness" by getting in to a fist fight in front of her. I'm just ready to use my sidearm if we were to ever be in danger.

You have a lot of growing up to do, son. And a lot of insecurities to work out.

I'll say this, (aside from the "Wild West" being mostly fiction), operating a single-action only revolver at high speeds takes a tremendous amount more skill than a modern semi-automatic pistol. Which is why most people carry semi-automatic pistols, now. lol

Kind of like how Fuel Injection is superior to an engine with a carburetor in all ways (in relation to the car operating, not in things like cost or simplicity), but some old people cling stubbornly to carburetor-based vehicles because "I don't need a laptop to tune my damn car." Maybe, but Fuel Injection is technologically superior to your carburetor in every single way, which is why every fucking car for the last like 3 decades+ have been Electronic Fuel Injection. I take pride in that. Generally speaking, if someone broke in to my house, I would almost always be grabbing my 12 gauge pump shotgun over my AR-15. But what about the guy who tagged the mass shooter in Texas and made chase? The media literally demonized the weapon the shooter used, but barely any news article mentioned that the hero was using the same platform, because that wouldn't fit their agenda. Or what about the two men that protected an elderly shop keeper during the riots, armed with AR-15 carbines or rifles? That's selfless and brave acts with a more adequate weapon for that scenario. It is very possible, (and I am hopeful) that I will go my whole life without ever having to fire a weapon in self defense. But I will not be caught with my pants down. I know a girl in England who got raped at knife point, and she told me (because she knew I was passionate about firearms) how badly she wished she would have been carrying a gun to stop it. I will not stand by and watch someone break into my house, or try to rob myself or a gas station or a family member, or watch someone try to abduct and rape a girl or child, whether I know them or not. I know that carrying a firearm doesn't magically make you safe, I have no delusions of being a video game or action movie hero. I take self defense and tactical weapon courses regularly (when I can afford them), and am extremely strict about gun training and gun safety. (I spent hours teaching my friend gun safety on a BB gun before I ever let him lay hands on one of my guns at the range. lol) But by carrying a weapon, I have made the conscious decision that I would risk my life to safe an innocents, and do anything I can to prevent the listed horrors above. Before my wife was killed, she knew, and supported, that I wouldn't stand by and hide like a coward if I saw someone being attacked. That I would do anything I could to come home to her safe, but that I would make risks to save somebody that needed saving. I would do that even without a gun, but having a competent firearm and being well trained with it gives me and the victim a slight edge in the situation.

There's zero useful metadata, but from the scroll bar on the top left you can see it's a screenshot someone took on their phone on Facebook, aka not the original digital photo. On top of that text has been edited into it. That makes it a lot harder to tell if it's shopped, since it's so compressed.

Still no obvious shopping. But I'd also like to point out her hair. Her hair is perfectly blended into the background. That would have been a pain in the ass to shop. It would have been much easier trimming that out.

But I can tell you right now, this picture is real, and that is an airsoft gun. Why? There are no holes in the fence. It's been pelted by tons of airsoft bullets in that general area. The wood is much brighter around the targets from pellets knocking off the darker outer rot from the wood.

If that many rounds went through that fence... there would be no fence.

I should point out that U.S. law incorrectly refers to any weapon of a faster firing speed than semi-automatic as a "machine gun", which is completely false. But when dealing with the BATF you have to go by their rules. A machine gun is different from an assault rifle, which is different from a battle rifle, etc..

But legally they are all grouped as "machine gun" as long as it fires more than 1 round per trigger pull.

You are incorrect, friend. All burst and automatic firearms produced after May 19, 1986 are completely illegal and 100% impossible to own as a civilian, legally. You can get a Class 3 Tax Stamp with serious paperwork and background checks for a fully automatic or burst fire weapon produced before May 19, 1986. No one in the entire country can own one produced after, as a civilian.

You can out some propane in a Super Soaker, put a flame in front of the nozzle, and then you'll have your own flamethrower.

You would very likely get hurt or killed because there's no safety choke/design to extinguish the fire when you come off the trigger, and the fire would go straight back into your container and burst. Unless, I guess, there was a big enough gap.

This is America. Just about anything weapons-related is legal if you pay the right people, taxes and permits.

You can't own any automatic or burstfire weapons produced after May 19, 1986. Also, you cannot own anything like an RPG unless it is decommissioned for museum or collecting purposes.

But flamethrowers are generally legal, depending on the city/state. You can't get the Dragon's Breath flame thrower shotgun shell in Florida because of dry spell conditions and fire hazard. But it isn't federally illegal, and a lot of states sell them.

I get what you're saying, but something like art (music) is far more subjective than attractiveness. The latter is a different category altogether and much more basic to classify in terms of good/bad. There are always exceptions, like my friend who was a lifeguard but she was into chubby, hairy dudes, but you generally have tiers where people concede somebody looks good, ones where people fight about it -average (the majority are here), and lastly those who almost nobody finds appealing.

And yeah, I've had this sig since the Yakuza 3 board was fresh. That's the game being discussed. It still amuses me all these years later.

I love both guns. I'd rather have an AK-47 in close quarters, that is just a nasty and reliable firearm. For medium engagements, though, I'd rather have one of my AR-15's with a red sight.

Not to be argumentative, but polls aren't objective research. It just means a lot of people subjectively agree about something. Lots of people like Bieber's music, it doesn't mean he's talented or a skilled musician. At the very minimum, you could graph his vocal control ranges and things like that... you can measure "successful" musician based on sales. But you can't measure if "he makes good or bad music" based on how many people like him.

Why do people keep saying there are no leagues? At least from an attractiveness level, there are multiple tiers. If somebody sucks on the inside though, it lowers their ability to leverage that.

Attractiveness is subjective in its entirety, even if there is some common overlap, it is not universal. It's a fabrication. Just like video game reviews. An experience where you stare at a screen for hours at a time and do stuff for entertainment or other positive values has been rated by a strange man you've never met "6.5". What the hell does that even mean?

I bet there is music I listen to that makes me cry with passion that you would find boring or uninteresting, and vice versa. Art and beauty are literally in the eye of the beholder, and do not follow a measurable scientific criteria that will fit a scale.

That depends entirely on city law. I have one city that you can set up a gun range in your back yard (as long as it has proper back stop, like a hill), and literally a 4 minute drive will bring you to a place that it is a felony to discharge a weapon without it being in self-defense etc.

But if that picture is real, 5.56x45mm NATO would have absolutely no problem flying through that fence and keep going for a while.
