Being stuck at a chair for hours on end getting called a dumbfuck by the stupidest, most entitled people on the planet over problems largely of their own creation.

Fallout is a long-suffering example of that where the company who purchased it does not particularly care about the intentions of the original work and want to make it their own thing. The things people are complaining about might seem little or inconsequential, but people have been pointing out that kind of stuff since FO3 came out.
Now a more recent phenomenon is people using "lore" to refer to vaguely told stories where you have to do a bunch of digging to piece things together, and that is a little annoying. It caught on really big with zoomers when FNAF came out, and companies have been trying to capture that lightning in a bottle over and over again with stuff like Hello Neighbor, Bendy and the Ink Machine, Garten of Banban, etc. And what's more, it seems to work annoyingly well. Bad storytelling as a marketing strategy is really obnoxious but younger people seem to eat it up because putting the pieces together is "fun" --- Looks like this gamer's paradise has turned into a gamer's hell............................................... |

Its true. Which sonic media is worse? Have you like, only ever seen the movies or something? Sonic has been churning out total stinkers like every other game for two decades now, and I say that as someone who has consumed more of the franchise than probably like 95% of this board. Sonic 06? Rise of Lyric? Sonic Forces? Countless arcs from the 90s and early 2000s in the Archie comics? You guys are nuts man. The show was dookie. The ads were all brazen false advertising. This isnt the Knuckles show, this is the Wade show with tiny Knuckles cameos. The only reason i feel like you could be surprised at any of this stuff is if you hadn't seen the other two movies. Both of them have a ton of human stuff that completely derail the plot with the nermies, because having humans running around on screen is a lot cheaper than animating stuff with Sonic or Knuckles. Why would a netflix show have less of that than the movies? Anyway, having now seen it, it's fine. Pretty much exactly as I expected.
