The rule didnt even solve Jace, right? they still had to ban him and didnt unban him in modern until after the rule had changed. Is there a different planeswalker you think the old rule successfully kept in check?

I wasnt tuned in to the game during this period (I had stopped playing as a kid for some reason after Kamigawa and didnt pick up the game again until New Phyrexia), so I admit I dont really know what it was like at the time.

No, the most logical way to do it would be to think to yourself "How many out of 100 do I suppose have died from this?" To think in terms of percentages itself, not to try and estimate the numerator and denominator and calculate the fraction..

you may be right that thats the most logical way, but the thing I posted was my first instinct. Like I said, percentage of the country that has died isnt a number Ive ever heard discussed. Number of deaths and population of the U.S. are numbers I have at least some idea about, so my instinct is to use the information I sort of know rather than just pull a 1/100 guess out of my ass.
without checking, I dont think the actual answer is even a full percent, but I dont have any idea what decimal percentage it would be without doing a bit of math.

if even I, a know paragon of intelligence, cant be expected to answer the question in the most logical manner, what hope is there for these thousand randos?

not that it makes the results way better, but id sooner buy that a bunch of people responding to that poll thought they were being asked what percentage of the people who got the virus in their country died rather than what percentage of their countrys whole population because thats a really weird thing to ask

off the top of my head I have no idea what percentage of the country has died from covid because thats not a number anyone ever talks about

if I thought about it Id come up with whatever 200,000 / 300 million is and then Id have to think about what that answer is a bit. did these people have calculators?

His streams have microtransactions. Mostly I think its like donate x bits and some annoying long fart sound will play. Yesterday he was doing some super chaotic Mario party stream and one of the things was if you donate like $20 he would jump rope for five minutes (I may be wrong on the specific numbers there).

It gets him paid, so good for him, but I just find it annoying.

No seriously, I played the demo and I don't see $50 there. It seemed quite neat but I didn't see $50. If anybody but Nintendo made this, it'd be $15 max.

I didnt pay full price for it personally, but Im pretty sure I got a full priced games amount of time out of it. (unfortunately I left my cartridge at my apartment when I came back to stay with my mom during the virus times, so I cant check exactly how long I played) I get the suspicion of its value, I had the same doubts, but its got enough polish and production value that I can believe they gave it a major titles budget.

The thing that I love about it is that its like playing the game for an anime that doesnt exist. It has fully anime cutscenes and a ridiculous story that takes the sushi striking totally seriously. Its like if the people making Yu-Gi-Oh were aware of how silly Yu-Gi-Oh is and really leaned into it. The phrase sushi heresy is used at one point.

and the core gameplay is fun. Its been a while since I played so I dont remember super clearly, but I think they found enough variations on it within the game to keep it entertaining all the way through.

I would say definitely dont actually spend $50 on it at this point, but its on sale for like $13 on Amazon right now. Its worth that for sure.

COVID-19 is a BSL4 virus. Unless your mask is an M95, N95, or viral respirator, you are not preventing the spread of corona. I literally have mice in my lab at work with live corona in them for testing. I'm not just making things up here.

Now what I do support is social distancing, being clean, sanitizing surfaces, and all that jazz. That stuff absolutely works.

on one hand, the guy in the video you posted who is very respected and important and a doctor says its important for infected people to wear masks
