TopicWhich is worse? Prequel Trilogy or Sequel Trilogy >_>

Until the sequel trilogy was released, Episode 2 Attack of the Clones to me was by far the worst Star Wars movie. It was just absolute cringe at times and just hard to watch.

But holy shit did they drop the ball hard on the sequel trilogy. The Force Awakens was okay, nothing memorably good nor bad. But like lots of people said before me: the lack of coherency is painfully there.

Simple example: Finn vs Phasma. This could have been a fantastic arc over the span of the three movies. Part 7, he breaks free, but when confronted she proves his superior. In part 8 Finn has had training and in the next encounter he could now fight Phasma to a standstill. Finally in part 9 the culmination of Finn's training and Phasma's arrogance he finally gets the best of her and beats her.

And that is just one small example of how much better the sequel trilogy could have been. Ultimately nothing that happens in part 8 as part of the plot mattered. Because there never was a pay-off. Need the only hacker in the known universe to skiller enough help them, he dies. Oh here is another ultimate hacker. There is not a single lightsabre clash in part 8 either, and during the throne room fight, on of the red troopers actually has a killshot on Rey if he would just follow through with his attack, but he dileberately whiffs it by suddenly swinging way too high. And there are a lot of examples like that. Snoke was utlimately a pointless character.

Part 9 also suffers from no pay offs, but also no build up. At no point in any of the three movies was it even speculated that Palpatine may have been pulling strings after his demise, let alone that he was plotting his return. Rey adopting the name of Skywalker was complete bullshit. First of all, that is not how it works. Secondly, it would have been a much more powerful ending if she choose to keep the Palpatine name, proving that a name does not determine who you are. She could have shown the universe Palpatine can also be a force of good.

And of course Rey being a massive Marry Sue.

I feel bad for Arrowhead. When it comes to players internationally, the game's population is going to take a big hit. And many people are going to attack Arrowhead instead of Sony.
No, I disagree. Arrowhead knew what they were getting themselves into with Sony. They could simply have said 'no'.

I never understood what the endgame is for flat Earthers. They argue that our governments want us to believe the Earth is a globe, but to what effect? Of all the things they can lie about, why this?

And IF we 'believe' the Earth is actually flat, then what?

What? The Endgame Thanos is just doing the same thing the original one did. The entire franchise up to that point was Thanos sitting back, waiting for other people to bring him the Stones.
One could argue he was waiting for the oppertune moment. We know he killed Ronan for the Power Stone, he took the Space Stone from Loke. Went to Knowhere to get the Reality Stone. Then took Gamora to Vormir for the Soul Stone. Fought Tony, Strange, the Guardians and Spiderman over Time Stone. And finally killed Vision for the Mind Stone.

In Endgame he sat on his ass waiting for either of his daughters to bring him the gauntlet.

I hated Thanos in Endgame.

In Infinity War he was constantly pushing the plot forward, and was the reason why the Avengers had to do things, like Thor traveling to Nidavallir to obtain Stormbreaker.

In the first 5 minutes of the movie, Thanos is portrayed as an absolute threat, beating down the Hulk without even using the stones. Now I am not gonna go wether he COULD beat Hulk, but for the purposes of his character reveal it works, he is immediatly established as a force to be reckoned with.

Yet in Endgame he just sits back and doesn't do fuck all, literally waiting for the stones to fall into his lap, rather than pursue them. Isn't this basically his life long obsession?

FF7 is very poorly written

Man has mommy issues, takes it out on the world by summoning a world ending meteor.

It's not poorly written, just barely written at all.

It was from 'Headstar', ran at like 10Mhz, did have a CD drive, but you had to put the discs in a special case which basically looked like a huge floppy disk. 20MB storsge and it's own OS on top of DOS.

I love pho, but it is made with cilantro, and that shit tastes like dishsoap to me. So I'll eat pad thai over it.
