I think it is less that writing quality has decreased and more than the amount of focus that is on world building, etc. is less in a gaming environment where you are relying less on text to get your point across. The world building is less tell, and more show. Just in general, obviously there are exceptions.

is the best way the left has to work itself back into having any real power nationwide, you have to get unions organized and involved and workers need to be pitted against their bosses. they need to be more class conscious and have a party that actually fights for labor. I am not impressed with Ojeda on policy, but his ability to organize is impressive.

I actively want neither of these options to occur.

It's pretty weird that apparently Marvel intends to continue IF, maybe on the Disney streaming service, yet there are no such plans for Luke Cage, even though that was only cancelled because of creative differences between Marvel and Netflix.

Possibly used marketing data to determine the audience for a black working class superhero vs a rich white guy superhero were very different and expect the streaming service for Disney to cater to the latter. Only thing I can think of.

That person is really confusing for me. What exactly do they value about the Republican platform? Why are they voting for them in the first place? If she was seeing the light about how she should never vote for them again I could understand it, but just mostly voting against Republicans...if she is bothered that they support business but not social programs, how can she support any of them?

Ojeda seems pretty legit. Doesn't take money from anyone but labor unions and small donations. I do worry about the fact he voted for Trump, but at least he admits he was wrong, and maybe a guy like him is perfect to get Trump country back into the labor movement and voting for Dems.

how can you say the 2000/2004 era or the 90s was more informed or reasonable or optimistic? people have, if anything, more access to true information now than they did back then. you are using some serious nostalgia goggles if you think people were more reasonable. the complexity of the world has not really changed, the perception of certain people has only changed because the internet has allowed everyone to interact with each other and see the way other people interact with each other, too. if you think the world is more complex, it is because you weren't seeing as much of it before, not because the world itself changed.

yeah there's nothing worse than the fetish people in this country have for the founders and keeping everything they did in place. the senate is extremely undemocratic and gives Republicans so much extra support. yet all the liberals who think voting is the only necessary political action for change don't even talk about changing it.

1) green new deal
2) completely eliminate the senate, a completely anti-democratic institution leaving the legislative branch to be only the house. (assuming this is possible as well) mandatory redrawing of districts to reduce gerrymandering.
3) end all foreign wars, close all foreign military bases, and reduce the military budget to focus on merely defense

People were so wrong about the idea that Trump winning would be good for comedy - Obama as a comedy tool is just so much more funny. I don't think Trump has resulted in anything truly funny off the top of my head.

As for banning frats, I am all in on that proposal. All they do besides result in sexual assault and rape is provide networking to give those very same assholes the foot in the door to lucrative career paths, eventually becoming the sex creep bosses at work instead.
