I read the manga and thought it was pretty meh tbh. It didn't seem any better than other typical shoujo. I thought some characters were pretty lame, then I find out they're some of the most loved, like Honey. I guess it just wasn't for me.

It's supposed to be meta about shoujo and harem troupes, and even purposefully caters to yaoi fans with the twins' gimmick

I always thought of myself as white. When I hit college, people started saying I wasn't haha that I was able to get credits as a minority in acting.

(PHYSICAL Minorities need less credits to be a part of the actors union here than those who 'look white'... it's all very strange)

It's because theatre majors are disproportionately white, I think.

My aunt had her first dog get chemo. Apparently it's who temperament changed a bit (from excited and happy to slow and moody).

That was compounded by the fact that it had to get insulin shots every day, which was apparently exhausting for both of them. At the end, the dog managed to live a whole 5 years, generally happy. So you have time, if nothing else. How old is Ernie now?

I hate it when dogs are sick :(

You picked a hell of a time to start watching. I started watching back before season 3.

I recently got HBO, so I decided to finally watch it.

But I've been told about the series as far back as mid-2014. And last year one of my roommates was actually a huge fan of the show. So I constantly heard about it (on top of masterpieces like House of Cards)

Honestly, that roommate could be really shitty (he was a STEM major who looked like Joffrey) but god damn if he didn't have good taste in television.

He's not able to survive because he always has information to get him out. He survives because he's lucky. Cercei could've had him killed that one time without any delay and without any issue.

The thing is... he's not interesting to watch. He's literally the most one-dimensional character. Yeah, he loves/ed Mama Stark and is bitter about Ned showering her with the Stark family seed, but that's it? Other than that he just wants to prove how smart and "conniving" he is. He ain't shit.

Getting near the end of season 3, and the more I think about him in the grand scheme of things, the less I like him.

We have so many great subplots, but we're continuously told that we should pay attention to him for some reason. No, I don't fucking care if he's building an army and everyone who knows about his plan doesn't seem to really care either, so why should I?

Every scene with him could be devoted to one of the better side characters, like Arya, Sansa (is it bad that I like her despite how helpless she is?), or Gendry. Or even Brienne.

And his actor is just... horrible. Aidan Gillen doesn't know how to properly deliver a single line without coming across as wooden and cocky, especially when he has no reason to. I liked him for all of 2 episodes before I realized his own real trait is "shady infobroker."

I really hope that fucker dies moving forward. And quickly too. I don't want any more of that nonsense that Theon, the human embodiment of suffering, got.

At least Theon has semi-interesting things going on with him.
