We have 20% unemployment and 1/3 of renters facing eviction. They have plenty of boot lickers saying protesters get what they deserve.

You also don't have mass unrest of the entire society or open gunfights between civilians and military personnel going on every hour in major cities. You have economic issues that have gotten so much worse right now because of a pandemic. It's not anything that resembles the hypothetical scenario where the government tries to control a heavily resistant population via military force.

ignoring that though its only hard if you have strict rules of engagement. millitary and police have enough weapons and armament that are several steps beyond anything privately owned that suppression of a population could easily be accomplished if they didn't mind pulling a tiananmen square. no amount of AR15s will hurt tanks after all.

It's not really about what weapons they have. The problem is that if people are willing to fight back in large numbers, you can't just massacre them into submission without defeating the purpose of trying in the first place. Tanks might be invincible to most of what private citizens can have but they don't force people to engage in the productive activity that you want from your territory.

SD Lena is your original warpskipper and thus a god, eventual Hammerne is also great (why does this fucking thing have 12 uses in this game?!). Then you get her for one turn in the next game, but there's some fun gimmicks with Aum she can pull off. Colm is a typical mediocre thief in a game where you can buy chest keys and there's only really one big ticket thing to steal. PoR Lethe is great for a while due to her crazy bases, but falls off quickly as her stats stop being godmode and her lack of forges and 1-2 range ruin her combat. RD Lethe is strong at first but even then is held back by being a cat, and it only gets worse from there. Tharja is another generic Awakening unit that doesn't do anything but can be used if you care, honestly the majority of this games cast is boring beyond belief in unit discussion terms. Ryoma has late availability and his durability can be a bit of an issue at times, but is otherwise a monster.

Neither is particularly annoying except possibly on a first playthrough. Lachesis has staffs so as long as you know what staff access, even just C rank, does to EXP gain you can get her promoted for chapter 4 fairly easily, especially if you know how the Miracle Sword can break the arena. Leif can be annoying if you don't have him inherit anything good, but there's a few options to pass him stuff that you don't miss much elsewhere that will let him get a ton of kills in his starting area, then you give him money and let him Paragon through the arena. Chapter 9 promotion is pretty easy, and realistically you don't truly *need* him promoted until chapter 10 which is trivial to arrange. Learning to manage your money so you can get the Paragon ring on everyone (that matters) for their arena runs results in a lot of experience coming in.

Ares is a generic "cool" guy who isn't cool because that type rarely is. Ferdinand is decent. Don't care about Rebecca and Genny. What little personality Leif gets in Genealogy is alright.

Oh boy. Okay Ares is really good, he falls a bit short against a few bosses but mostly only ones that few units can fight effectively and he at least doesn't auto-die to Arvis like 90% of the cast. Stats and skills let him be good no matter what and Mistletain (I don't think I ever spell that thing the same way twice, or correctly ever) is a cherry on top, can run into a bit of money trouble with it but that's the price you pay for guaranteed ORKOs or a monster crit rate vs things that need them to die.

Rebecca is garbage. Bases so bad she doesn't even reliably set up kills for other units, worst class imaginable, exists in a game with very limited deployment slots so using her is an even bigger sacrifice than it is for most bad growth units, no enemy phase in a super enemy phase heavy game...it's a miracle there manage to be worse units in the series (arguably in her own game, though purely due to availability) because she fails in every way.

I don't have a lot to say about Genny or Ferdinand, both are good.

Leif is basically the one unit in the entire series where "they get good later" actually means something besides "they suck but eventually they're like everyone else". Genealogy allows you to level up everyone without issue and Leif reaches level 20 by chapter 9 without hassle. Master Knight is the best class in the game and he becomes a monster for combat, but his real value is being the only mounted Rescue staff user. The last two chapters feel like a different game entirely with that on your side. Honestly I'm at a bit of a loss here, factoring in availability should nudge him down to a 9 since he's only good for half the generation and only special for a third of it, but he's so absurd in that third that he's worth a 10 if you ignore availability and I haven't quite decided how much weight to put on it for these ratings. Barring certain Jagens in the early game few units in the series are ever as good as Leif is for those two chapters.

Nanna is the always useful mounted healer who makes it possible for your army of horses to keep running on.

Soren sucks. Radiant Dawn must have had a traumatic childhood experience where a mage stole its teddy bear because man oh man does it hate mages. Enemies have higher Res than in most games, mages tend to have bad bases, their speed caps are dreadful in a game where that matters...not fun. Soren pokes things once for okay damage and dies to stuff. Not fun. At least he's better than whatever the hell Astrid thinks she's doing this time around.

Marth gets to be quite a bit better in New Mystery with better bases and sword lock not being nearly as bad, though still not ideal. He still spends a lot of time just wandering places to recruit people but he can do some damage when needed, and in practice he'll often have somewhat inflated stats from feeding him kills and some stat boosters to ensure he can actually survive a round with Medeus. Caeda is not the broken goddess she used to be but she's still pretty good, in a game where speed thresholds are through the roof she manages to double almost everything throughout the mid game, and the Wing Spear is still very strong on some maps even if it's not the Win The Game Button anymore. Runs into some problems late game due to lack of good endgame classes that work for her stat spread and/or lance rank, but that's a common issue. And the stat boosters that fix her issues are far less in demand than the infinitely valuable speedwings she'll never need.

Some added context, namely that he and his friends had a group chat originally dedicated to supporting Goose when she came forward against Mangs, but which changed into coordinating the attack against Indie when she told her story about Chaz (read: all the harassment and victim blaming garbage directed her way, all the blatant lies about how the story was "disproven" when it wasn't, etc). Chaz didn't seem to participate in it much from what we know but he was talking to people in it about the situation so it's pretty damn likely when his statement ends with saying he doesn't want anyone harassed, he's coming from a position of knowing his friends were organizing a campaign to harass his accuser which he hasn't cared to object to at all.

Hatchet isn't Ross exclusive and +25 hit at 2 range on a guy with actual stats is not something to take lightly. It's not about whether it's easy or hard to train someone so much as whether it's even worth it in the first place. Training bad units is rarely hard - you just turtle and feed them everything. Simple and boring. Everyone can be given that kind of special treatment to look good.

Ayra is alright, Henry is fairly funny. Xander is a mostly good character who gets the occasional moment where he just kills your brain. Sue and Ross are unremarkable. I guess Sue has a somewhat annoying way of speaking but unless you support grind you'll never even see it so who cares...?

Ayra is overhyped to the extreme, foot lock in Genealogy is not just bad, it's disastrously bad (I will stand by there not being a single combat focused footlock unit in FE4 who deserves higher than a 5/10, and that might be generous), and even beyond that Ayra isn't actually special. She doesn't kill without Astra, which may not be too bad on paper (most units don't ORKO reliably and her odds are better than most) but when you only get to see a tiny amount of combat that lack of reliability is crippling...and she really sees so little combat because her durability is quite bad. Even when she gets places, you can't put her in range of very much, rarely even 2 enemies at a time unless they're the kind of scrubs most combat units can take 3+ of. She's not just a foot unit, she's a foot unit who is only mediocre when she does get to do stuff.

Sue is almost decent thanks to the multiple horse-favouring maps following her join time, the fact that chapter 8 and 8x are good training grounds for a unit like her without slowing you down and she's needed in chapter 9 anyway. Her bases are too bad for her to be a good unit though despite her horse, and it sucks that you can't use her alongside Shin without risking the Sacae route. Speaking of bad bases, Ross is at least semi-functional (unlike Amelia and Ewan) to begin with and can do some fun water walk stuff in chapter 7, but outside that he's just a worse or higher investment (depending on whether it's early or late) version of everyone else (it takes a distressingly long time for him to actually catch up to his not-very-fast father in speed too). Henry is an Awakening character and dark mage has nice skills so he can get a solid ranking but he's not one of the handful of people that matter. Xander on the other hand is a monster whose availability is basically his only serious problem.

There's a bunch of other stories about him, quite a few of which have a fair bit of evidence behind them. Like, this is a super open and shut case. I don't know what you want if a literal admission of guilt amidst a ton of evidence isn't enough for you.

I also have never done what Mangs did, nor am I someone who never watched his stuff.

Leon is fairly good. Leif is good for the Munster chapters but after that he doesn't matter much because it's Thracia, but he does have supports to give when you need them and he'll tend to be on steroids from whatever early game stat boosters you didn't dump into Asbel. Florina is amazing with Lyn Mode and its stat boosters, flight + solid combat is hilarious. Her stats are abysmal without Lyn Mode but I generally judge FE7 units with Lyn Mode included. Micaiah can chip in here and there but frail and low speed and enemies having good res and staffs being arguably at their worst all add up to...me thinking that maybe 4 is too generous, but what the hell, I'll be nice. Mercedes isn't a game changer but she's always doing something good for you.

I don't know why you'd give Mangs the benefit of the doubt. The best case scenario for him is that you believe his side of the story entirely (which is not a good idea since he clearly contradicted himself in his efforts to downplay his actions) at which point he still decided to feel up a girl for a while despite knowing she did not want him to under any circumstances. He also has a long pattern of being creepy to girls and trying to lie/mislead about his actions to protect his image. He didn't just misjudge one situation or something, he made constant decisions to engage in creepy and/or manipulative behavior over and over again for years while trying to pressure people into covering for him.

I know there's a way (at least in the original, I'm not sure if it works in TZA but it probably does) you can stand in the hallway such that you can pelt him with dark magic but he can't get to you, at least not physically since I think he still has some magic to use but it definitely gets out of the way of his death combo claw swipes which are the biggest threat, especially as he gets lower in health.

It's okay aside from the nuke gimmick. Better than it used to be, though granted that's not saying much. You're a bit too at the mercy of the camera sometimes with how much time you have to spend wedged up against him while particle effects fill the universe making it hard to see what's happening. Its nuke gimmick seems like it must make some weapons just unreasonably worse against him than others though. Only fought him solo, don't even want to know what multiplayer is like because these gimmick monsters are always deliberately designed to be shit online (despite supposedly existing to encourage multiplayer...)

Lot of ambivalence this time around, I barely remember anything about Lugh or Astrid (prior to RD at least). Robin (F)'s Chrom support is worth a point reduction. Takumi is alright I guess?

Nanna is pretty helpful with healing and charisma, staff rank is too low to ever get to the good stuff though which is unfortunate and her bases are shaky, though the Earth Sword gives her solid combat potential here and there and it's not like Thracia enemies stay functional for long. Lugh is a solid chip bot early on when you need all the help you can get and has the most accurate weapon type in a game where accuracy is sketchy. His bases aren't the greatest but he's viable and I almost always end up using him. Sage promotion bonuses being huge is a big saving grace for him, though the limited Guiding Rings hurt.

Astrid requires a sizable BEXP dump to function, but you get an extra axe paladin out of it so it's worth it unless you're playing Maniac Mode maybe where the BEXP is limited, even then it's probably worthwhile in the long run. Robin is...yeah. Female Robin is clearly better but the male version is still lulzy. Takumi is good but not great.
