I was put under with gas and woke up shortly after. Felt like 2 minutes. I had all 4 teeth removed.

I was pretty loopy for half the day, had some aching periodically. Bleeding. Had gauze in my mouth though to soak it up. Couldnt eat much for a couple days I think, though I remember eating earlier than recommended and having no trouble.

As a DC native, I always went the other way. "Wait, why does DC have a state on the other side of the country?"

More dialect habits: when talking to an American about where I'm from, I'll say DC. Never 'Washington' or 'Washington DC'. When talking to a non-American, I'll always say Washington DC.

I think DC may have the worst traffic in the country. Virginia is marginally better. The beltway here is awful, from about 3-7PM it's stop-and-go through VA/MD/DC all over. Truly terrible.

Finished Survivor: New Zealand 2. I'd recommend it if you want a really good season. One of the players is a major RHAP fan.

Ranking the international seasons I've seen: AUS2 > NZ2 > SA6 > AUS1 > NZ1

Still need to watch AUS3 and maybe I'll look into SA1-5 (although I heard 6 was a reboot of the franchise).

Overall AUS2 is like Top 5 worthy including all of US. NZ2 is top 10. SA6 is up there too. AUS1 feels underrated, binging it makes it much easier to watch. NZ1 is pretty terrible.

I'm rewatching a lot of BB right now. Have rewatched 2, 3, and 6, and am just starting 7.

Not sure if we really need to put spoiler tags here, but to rank some of your winner list so far on gameplay:
Will > Maggie > Kaycee > Lisa > Josh

I went into BB6 intending to make a video about Janelle, but instead I'm likely making it on Maggie. Her story is way more fascinating.

I just remember Ivette being more involved. Is it Maggie? Cause outside of the Howie thing I thought I remember her drifting and avoiding blood.

She does a lot. I'll try to sum it up week by week:

(Spoilers for entirety of BB6 below)

Week 4: Wins HoH, takes out Kaysar.
Week 5: Flips Howie. Prevents April/Jenn from flipping on Ivette.
Week 6: Leads the charge on Jenn targeting Kaysar. Gets him out the second time.
Week 7: Despite this, Sovs target Jenn out of spite. Crazy. Sovs so dum.
Week 8: Everyone vs. James. Not much to say here.
Week 9: Partners up with April at F6. Wins veto. She debated keeping Beau/Ivette as a strong duo with her in the middle at F5, but she went with her heart (she says this). She was positioned the best of anyone here anyway, as she notes Ivette/April are much closer to her than each other.
Week 9 x2: Throws HoH to Ivette so she can play F4 HoH, also her loyalty to Ivette proves true as Maggie avoids the block when Janelle wins veto.
Week 10: Doesn't win HoH or veto, but she was safe regardless. Amusingly this gets remarked upon by everyone - April would vote out Ivette, Ivette would vote out April (which happens). Maggie was locked into F3.
Week 11: Doesn't win HoH, gets lucky Ivette wins. In regards to Maggie, it's a straightforward F3. If Janelle wins HoH, she cuts Maggie almost assuredly. Maggie was 1 question away in Part 2 from locking up (pun intended) her win.

Overall Maggie consistently reminded us that her main strategy was to listen, not talk. Her commanding demeanor wins her brownie points as a strategist. She's constantly given credit for any move the Friendship makes, is viewed as their leader (which she was). Despite this, she's still always positioned better than anyone and gets taken again and again to the next week.

She's also the only winner to not win part 1 or 2 of the final HoH! I consider that a positive.

A major key difference between Maggie and Ivette is that Ivette made such easy-to-avoid blunders again and again. Spiting Rachel, blowing up at April, not throwing the final HoH to Janelle (this move is probably a bit too 4D chess for her but still). I can't say the same for Maggie at all.

Lukewarm take: Hearthstone isn't a bad game, but I do think Blizzard have dropped the ball with how they've expanded on it since the first few expansions. They've had a great system, a great universe to pull from, but they've never innovated. They've spent the past 5 years churning out the same repetitious RNG-laden grindfest. I'm more impressed with the direction CDPR have taken Gwent, between Homecoming and Thronebreaker. In less than half the time HS has been around, they've done way more than Blizzard likely ever will.

WoW is less of an offender but falls into a similar vein, especially with its latest expansion. That said, in my opinion, WoW is a marvel of a construct. There's a pretty great game underneath the muck and grind.

From what I've seen most fans are very happy with WC3 Reforged. I'm also looking forward to it since I never played WC3.

As someone who follows the boards, the subreddit, and watched a good chunk of Blizzcon, from my perspective it was all Diablo Immortal. The fanbase got hyped up on what they expected to be either D2 Remastered or a shiny D4 announcement, but instead were hit with a generic mobile game. While the game may end up being decent, this was the wrong venue to break the news. The hardcore fans at Blizzcon were never gonna take it well and I'm not shocked to see the fans react in a negative manner. This was not what they wanted in the slightest, and Blizzard either misread the room or didn't care.

I could rant for years about what trash Hearthstone is.

Every single person from the HS topic can vouch to it. I am insane.

I'm not a fan of Hearthstone anymore so I likely won't disagree with you.

I'd be interested to hear your take, though.

You don't think it's possible a good majority of the fans didn't read this blog? Or even if they did, that a portion of them interpreted it differently?

Im just starting chapter two. I really want to play the game in first person mode - its more immersive and pretty cool with the details being more apparent. I also think I shoot better. Turned off head bobbing, might change a few more settings.

Biggest issue though is riding a horse first person is pretty tough, and its cool seeing your outfit and the animations Arthur does in third person.

Outside of this quandary the game is great.

Woops. A w k w a r d.

Hey, I still lurk. Have been since Survivor started not long ago. Believe it or not, I value the dissenting opinions too. Even though I dont always agree with Inviso, Ive always appreciated his ability to thoroughly explain himself. Its been 10 years of reading his thoughts, I would be lying if I said I didnt take into account his disdain for seasons like BB20 (and other popular seasons most fans love). Many times Ive been convinced (without expressing it) to change my opinion, or even my line of thinking, because others disagree and can explain themselves.

I wasnt mad then or now, darkx.

I mean really, Im not sure I wouldve made making Survivor/BB YouTube videos my #1 hobby for the past year if I couldnt stomach others opinions. Believe me, I get a lot of undue vitriol for the stupidest shit thanks to YouTube.

I said I would stop posting because all I was doing was feeling combative whenever I came here. I dont like to feel combative over something I try to have fun with. Especially with a group of people Ive been relatively close to for nearly a decade. And I was feeling combative because there was an immense (to me) amount of bashing. The conversation was only negative and lead to arguments between the, I dont know, 4 active regulars here for BB20?

Not that I inherently dislike conflict, I just need a balance. I said the same thing back then before I stopped posting: I wasnt enjoying myself. So instead of engaging with something that was draining me, or demanding others to change to my liking, I said I would remove myself to avoid the conflict and focus my energy elsewhere.

That was it!

Im still here. Im very much enjoying DvG. Im more just in a lurking state.

A lot of great games on this list. 4 of them are some of my favorites. Also those 4 are hogging all the votes!

Witcher III is either my #1 or 2 fave game, Ori is in my Top 10, while BioShock and ME3 are hovering close to it.

I voted for BioShock because the trilogy of games + DLC are fantastic. The atmosphere is top notch. I actually like Infinite a little more but all three games are worth playing.

ME3 is good but the ending yadda yadda. If youve played 1&2 then 3 is still great. On its own I dunno.

Witcher III will consume you if you enjoy what it offers. Theres so much content. I enjoyed the combat but many dont and find it turns them off.

Ori caught me by surprise. Im not big into Metroidvanias but this games mechanics and visuals instantly hooked me. Plus theres a sequel releasing next year.

Hes great at manipulation and wins a lot of people over but hes about in the dark as the rest of them. I can see why he think its a good move, hes winning people over and gaining allies, Scottie is the #1 person targeting him (which is the case), but yeah, in the big picture hes just one step closer to his eviction date at the hands of L6. Plus he cant win comps (although he throws most of them), which means I dont expect him to get out of the corner hes unintentionally backing himself into.

While I agree with Inviso, I also kinda like that about Rob. He's focused. He's quick-witted. He has immense self-control and takes his job seriously, while also mixing in his bouts of humor. He tries to remain fairly neutral all around, being friends with everyone. You rarely see him get mean or harsh or "dirty" (although when he does it's great and everyone remembers it, ala Steve/JMac BB17).

Also Inviso can't stand ~strategy~ (I NEED GOOD TV! I NEED TO CARE!!!) and Rob lives for strategy. He rates Gabon very low because it's a trainwreck, after all.

It makes sense he wouldn't care for Rob. Although the LFC isn't Rob, it's Brent (who lives for destroying gamebots), Taran (who Inviso would loathe because he's a robot), and Melissa (Paula Abdul).

Also, "twists lead to excitement" has been a thing in Big Brother since BB3 with the veto. They've always been trying to think up new twists for each season. That's never changing.

I believe the only reason BB10 was basic was because of the writers strike. Of course, it was a great season, but so many other seasons have been great too, both in spite of and because of their twists.
