I was in a relationship with a guy for 5 years and I was cheating on him for a good chunk of it. Sure, I could have left him, but then I'd have to go back home to my abusive family, not go to school anymore since nobody would drive me except him, and just generally have a much worse quality of life. Once I was able to be more independent, I did the right thing and let him go. He wasn't very happy about it, but it needed to be done. --- |

It gets my blood boiling just thinking about it. Like, no, I can't give you free product. . . Because I don't have a button for it. . . Because inventory will be off. . . Because I could lose my job over you wanting something for free. . . Because that coupon isn't valid. . . Because I'm on camera. . . I'm just a cashier. I don't make the rules, I push the buttons on the cash register. Anybody important enough to change this policy is in some posh office in a big city smoking a cigar they lit with a hundred dollar bill and no amount of complaining will change their mind so leave me the fuck alone and get the fuck out if you don't want to spend 10 bucks on this thing that everyone else has to buy without expecting preferential treatment. No, I don't care if you don't come back. There are millions more where you came from that will keep coming here and they have better manners (hopefully). The public are a bunch of god damn animals who think I'm some kind of wizard who can magically do whatever I want for their benefit.
