I used to use strictly sharp cheddar cheese. That's the worst possible decision you could make in making Mac and Cheese. It clumps up and gets super greasy. I only used it because a friend told me I could save money on car insurance buying by the block instead of buying it pre-shredded. Cheaper, yes he was right. But not worth having to grate 5lbs worth of cheese.

So now I use the 4 cheese mix. One of these days, I'll experiment with Gouda.

Heh, I was forced to go to college even though I tried to talk my way out of it to do trade jobs and whatnot to figure out my life. Went through college, blew opportunities away because I couldn't commit to anything and so I came back home a couple years after graduating and finally got the chance to realize my dream taking a bunch of odd jobs (I'm very easy to please). And then I started cooking till last year and am now in a boring white collar position. But I realize now I want to go into computer graphics and ultimately start my own kid's show.

I'm 25 now. This post probably isn't helpful but I just want to say it warms my heart that I wasn't alone in trying to figure out my life. From this topic, you want more than what you have now; getting by with enough to pay bill comfortably isn't good enough for you, nor do you feel it's good enough for your kid. Here's to wishing you luck in figuring out what you want in life.

The concept of "white priviledge" is not, "everyone should recognize they are priviledged and feel bad about it" the point is, "everyone should recognize the system may be unfair and that if we work together we can improve it". You know, or fucking just for people to have some god damn empathy.

Not true. White privilege is used to single out white people and marginalize their accomplishments and encourage self-shaming. If it were to be used to spread awareness about how not everyone is on an equal playing field, people would say "I'm at a disadvantage", not use a label to single people out and make them feel less of themselves.

Imagine if you're training everyday for a race, running every morning at 6:00 AM, working out every other day, putting in a lot of time and effort and investing you life into it. And when the race comes, and you win, imagine hearing people say to you, "You only won because you have longer legs than me", are you really going to be okay with hearing that? That your win was only attributed to your genetics and not also due to the sheer work you put into it? Apply that to studying for a Google interview and landing a job or getting into the college you wanted. No one wants to hear that.

Yes, luck is a factor, yes other people are born with more opportunities than others, but you want to spread the awareness of this, you don't go around insulting or shaming people due to factors they can't control.

This. It's not like he drove a bit too fast and rear ended someone. He drove intoxicated, something that's always hammered into your head that you shouldn't be doing, and drove into the incoming lane at high speed, killing two people in the process. It might not have been done maliciously but it certainly ain't no damn accident.

Alright, I can accept and concede that it's negligence. But I still wouldn't be up in arms for the death penalty over this. My whole problem is that it's too easy to set up a circumstance where a person would drive drunk and this happens too often. A person who is clearly driving heavily intoxicated is just as likely have a crash as they are to run into a cop for a DUI. The environment enables this type of behavior so I don't think it's right to be treating him as a mass murderer.

Only one of those people has power and represents one of the biggest countries in the world on a global stage. And it is really stupid because those same Trumpeteers on the right (I'll specify since many conservatives are correctly embarrassed of Trump) would be s***ting themselves if we elected a Democratic President that spent every day posting like a SJW Tumblrina. This was literally the argument for minimum wage, though. Now we gotta pay burger flippers enough money to afford a furnished two-bedroom apartment, iPhone, cable, internet, health insurance, new car, car insurance, and groceries for a month.

Nobody has any right to someone else's property.

This is horribly incorrect. The argument for the increase in minimum wage is due to working full time (i.e. 40 hours a week) and still not being able to have financial stability due to the increasing costs of living. This is not the same thing as having UBI for simply living and wanting to look for more money to afford luxuries via finding a job.

Mr Hangman posted...
Why fuss around with social security, medicare/medicaid, unemployment, minimum wage, food stamps, etc. when you can just do this? Let people figure out for themselves how the money will best help them. It provides a massive benefit in the jobs market in that lower income workers no longer have to negotiate out of a place of desperation.

Because lawmakers let their pride get in the way and believe people who make the bare minimum don't know how to use money properly and so they come up with convoluted schemes to help people out. It's funny how there have been multiple reports of research that always boil down to the simplest solution, from getting someone off the streets to helping someone out of poverty to lowering crime in neighborhoods and increasing HS graduation rates, is to simply give them money.

Dude, the main appeal of zombie fiction is a scenario where society has collapsed. If society doesn't collapse then it makes no sense that there's an epidemic, everyone would just work together and fix it. Which is probably a more realistic scenario, but it doesn't make for entertaining fiction.

I don't mind if that there are opposing factions, or groups that want to take advantage of the situation to situate themselves in position of power. The villain in the Winter season was fine. But my problem is how quickly and how many people in TLoU you turn on and gun down. And because of that, the villain's threat of the Winter season was severely diminished because they were just like every other person the duo met, out for blood. And the only reason why it's so excessive is because Naughty Dog's forte is in 3rd person shooters and nothing else. If they had focused on the gameplay first, and chosen for a more Zelda like adventure where the focus is on traversal and exploration, you wouldn't have nearly as many shootouts as it has currently.

The Last of Us felt like it should have been a Zelda game. Or anything but a shooter game. It doesn't make sense that you're in an apocalyptic world, where humans are constantly being preyed upon by zombies, yet your biggest kill count are humans. In fact, you can go for days without seeing another human being yet the moment you interact with one, you're both on edge and about ready to gun down each other. The human population can't sustain itself in that manner and it disgusts me that only one reviewer I've seen called them out on that contradiction.

While Chaffetz said $174,000 a year is a “handsome” congressional salary, he explained that subsidizing lawmakers’ housing costs in the pricey D.C. metro area could actually save taxpayer dollars. If he had a proper home in Washington rather than a cot in his office, Chaffetz said, he wouldn’t need to fly home every week on the taxpayers’ dime, and his wife, Julie, could visit more often.

A 2017 Kiplinger report ranked Washington as the sixth-most expensive city in the country to live.

A $2,500 monthly allowance would cost taxpayers about $30,000 a year per lawmaker, or roughly $16 million a year for all 535 members.

It “would allow the non-millionaires to participate and you would be able to have your spouse join you here,” said Chaffetz, 50, who’s spent 1,500 nights away from his wife and children during his eight-plus years in Congress. “If I wasn’t buying as many airline tickets, it would ultimately be less expensive.”

He makes a compelling point. I'd say we give it to him. While reducing congressional pay by $60K.

It's alright. Moana is your standard hyper-competent female protagonist, though in this case, it felt a bit forced. In Zootopia's case, Julie needed to be on point to make up for her lack of constitution. In this show, I got annoyed at the earlier scene of her fixing a roof and climbing down in a fantastical way, because it felt unnecessary for the story in the long run.

Then there were a lot of scenes that changed tunes really quickly, from solemn to upbeat, and it didn't feel convincing. The scene after they fought the crab and Maui voiced his feelings on not being as good as he thought he was, it just took a few words to get him back on tune.

And then the big twist just angered me, The island just wanting its heart back and was the fiery monster. Maui, how the FLYING FUCK did you not notice this? How can you be completely ignorant of a island literally getting up and exploding into flames because you took its heart?

So yeah, it was just alright.

I don't have a clue what you're trying to say

It sounds like TC is getting cucked by some chick who was sleeping around on him and he expected it but was in denial and then some 3rd party told him it was true so he can't be in denial or cling to that shadow of a doubt anymore and has to actually confront it now.

cucking =/= cheating

Cucking giving a person to sleep around, usually right in front of you, while you get off to it.

I see my name is on here, a variation of it, but it's still here. Well, I never liked my name anyways.

Heh, it's interesting that you two really dislike your dark eyes, but a lot of the other people responding seem to prefer brown eyes. Maybe you're just being hard on yourselves, but I admit it might be nice to change what we're not happy with.

A lot of the other people also have lighter colored eyes. I wouldn't trust their opinions, the grass is greener on the side, etc. etc.

Why is this news? People always have something negative to say.

Imagine the complete reverse of this. Now ask yourself if it wouldn't be a front page news.

A student says a liberal arts teacher who was arrested and returned from NK with fatal injuries deserved what she got?

What kind of reverse are you looking for?

The only upside -- and it's incredibly small given the surrounding circumstances -- is Facebook refused to hand over the information on the grounds that the indefinite gag order was unconstitutional. Faced with this pushback, Minnesota police withdrew the warrant.

The police didn't get any dirt on the girlfriend.

I guarantee they regret not killing her too.

Why? The cop was acquitted. At most she could sue the district which will lead to a settlement, but that's unlikely given how the cop won out in the end.
