I think a pretty good example highlighting the difference between SwSh and older games is looking at the climactic dungeon. Compare exploring Team Rocket/Aqua/Magma's hideouts, climbing Goldenrod Tower or Mt. Coronet to the tower in this game. You ride a single elevator up the tower while unable to move your character and do three battles and boom, you've reached the end.

My (perhaps too optimistic) prediction is that next year's Sinnoh remakes will bring back 150-200 to the gen, and then the gen 8 sequels/gen 9 will bring the rest, and they'll use an "everybody's here" Smash Ultimate-tier marketing campaign to sell it as a must-buy

Flappin must be the Apple Gigantamax form we saw. It must have a third evolution that begins with 'A' because it's between Alcremie and Butterfree in the guidebook, which goes by alphabetical order.

Basically, someone discovered that Pokemon are assigned codes on the Japanese Dynamax Picture site. The coding refers to the Pokemon as a codeword then a number for what stage of the line the Pokemon is. Obviously this contains (probable) spoilers for the game.

https://twitter.com/abcboy101/status/1174892982366900224

- Scorbunny: Usagi1
- Sobble: Chameleon1
- Grookey: Gorilla1
- Yamper: Inu1
- Rolycoly: Sekitan1
- Wooloo: Wool1
- Corviknight: Gcommondori3
- Alcremie: Gcream2
- Morpeko: Pospika
- Polteageist: Teacup2
- Gigantamax Drednaw: Gkame2
- Duraludon: Haganedoragon
- Gossifleur: Touwata1

So assuming these are accurate, we now know:

- Grookey indeed evolves into a Gorilla, further confirming the leaks (not that it needs further proof to be believable)
- Yamper, Wooloo and Rolycoly are all getting evolutions.
- Alcremie, Polteageist and Drednaw all have unrevealed prevos.
- Corviknight is the third stage in its line and is confirmed to be the regional bird.
- Morpeko doesn't evolve, to the surprise of no one.
- Duraludon doesn't evolve, meaning it is not the pseudo of the gen as some have speculated.

Gen 7 is Sun and Moon dude lol

Some people don't want to remember how bad those games were though

With Gen 8 being an option... is this about the Pokemon themselves or the games? Because I have very different answers depending on that.

There's so much wrong with this post
Thinking SM are bad, thinking SM are worse than LGPE...
Just a modicum of bad taste all around

From my play experience it was very clear Gamefreak put a lot more effort into Let's Go than any of the Alola games.
Not saying Let's Go were great but they were definitely the best of the gen for me.

GameXplain just put up a new video analyzing the towns and Wild Area. They discover there's at least one town that isn't shown on the map (a train station actually has a Pokecenter and multiple buildings next to it that aren't on the map) and the Wild Area appears to be deceptively large.
