So HoloEN just finished their Anniversary Collab and it was honestly one of the most entertaining streams I've ever watched.

Can't believe it's been a whole year since I started watching them.

Can't wait to see what the next year has in store!

Woohoo!

I have successfully 100% completed The World Ends With You: Final Remix.

All Noise reports with all drops recorded, All items collected, all pins collected and mastered, all secret reports gotten, and I managed to do the boss rush on Ultimate difficulty in around 5 minutes. Plus, I did it all in 69 hours. Nice. (technically 68hrs and 48 mins, but I'll just round it up for the meme).

I think this is the first game I truly 100 percented. All the other games I tried to this I only managed like 99% because of that extra bullshit something that requires endless amounts of grind.

Anyways, the game is still as special to me as when I first played it.

Now, in order not to completely burn out on the twewy universe, I'm playing Astral Chain next.

Man, I'm nearly twice the age when I first discovered TWEWY during the height of my emo teenager phase and its themes and lessons impacted my worldview, but it still manages to hit something deep within me after all this time.

Finally got my copies of twewy and neo twewy.

I forgot how short the first game was. I'm already nearly halfway through the first week and I only just started playing.

Oh well. This might just mean I can finally 100% the game now.

I just got my first bit of somewhat disposable income and the first thing I do is buy both The World Ends With You: Final Remix, and NEO: The World Ends With You.

Granted, it's unlikely these games are gonna ever go down in price considering they're Switch games but man, dropping down $120 for only two games kinda hurts especially since I mostly buy games when they're sub $30.

Man, I just can't seem to find a physical copy of The World Ends With You for the Switch, that doesn't cost upwards of $50.

I have one of those bladeless can openers that basically break the vacuum seal off the top of the can.

No rust, no sharp edges, low chance of the top coming into contact with the food.

Had it for a couple of years now.

I already went ahead and bought the Gold Edition. :/

Ah well, if the DLC does end up disappointing, then it wouldn't be the first time I'd get buyer's remorse.

In any case the game runs surprisingly well, at least as far as I can tell.

Performance and FPS wise, on a scale between Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity and Monster Hunter RIse, it's somewhere in between. Which is commendable for an open world game on the switch.

The base game is on sale right now on the eshop for $24, and the Gold Edition, which has all the DLC, is $40.

I've heard a lot of things about the game, most of which were basically, "Breath of the Wild but Ubisoft"

I LOVED BotW and I've been getting the itch to play another sandbox game.

So how is the game? I'd like to hear some thoughts on it especially those who bought the DLC since it seems like those are basically 3 standalone games?

I can access the site on my PC or if I use the Wi-fi on my phone since I use xfinity for my home internet.

But If I want to use data internet the site can't be accessed.

Which sucks because I JUST upgraded to unlimited data for my phone.

I can use a VPN to bypass it but It's still annoying.

I've got a new gaming mission.

I've never played any game in the series before so now I'm making it my goal to experience the full Metroid story before Dread comes out.

Currently playing Zero Mission, and already have Super and Fusion ready in the backlog.

Just need to track down a new 3ds battery so I can play Samus Returns.

Played it while I was a deep dark place mentally and emotionally in high school, and it was one of the major contributors in pulling me out of it.

While I am happy that the missing Trails games are no longer missing, and I am happy to see a fan translation team going official, I recall a similar happening with the translation for several of the Ys games, and that ... did not end too well, IIRC.

Still, the localization is based on the work the fans have already done so hopefully they just stick those on there with only the minimum of changes.

In other news I've been playing Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. Pretty fun combat and the farming is pretty complex and surprisingly deep.

It was the "pop" video and the "ara ara backwards" that somehow got over a million views out of nowhere. She doesn't seem to have significantly more average viewers in the pokemon streams compared to other stuff. She also got shouted out by a few of the clip channels for hitting 50k so that probably spiked up a bit there as well. It's just weird that it happened so suddenly over nothing special. Those 2 videos aren't any better than her other ones, they just happened to get blessed by the algorithm,

Unfortunately popularity in the vtuber sphere really does come down to luck, and what gets picked up by the algorithm to showcase.

I know some of the folks here have played the Rune Factory series so I wanted to give you guys a heads up.

I'm a little bummed out but honestly though, this is kind of a good thing. Numerous reports and topics say that the game has a ton of bugs and framerate issues.

Hopefully with the delay, this gives the game a bit more time to sort those issues out before coming over here.

Didn't think the news of Coco's leaving would bum me out this much, but it does. :(

She was instrumental in bringing vtubers to the wider western audience through her Asacoco News and Meme Reviews.

Not to mention she was the one who pushed to make Hololive EN.

Safe to say without her Hololive wouldn't be as big as it is now.

Now while her leaving is really sad, that's a damn fine legacy to leave on.

Hopefully this won't be the last time we'll hear from her. She has stated in the past that her original goal for applying to Cover was as a staff member, so maybe she'll just be moving there. She could also just go under a new persona and go indie or create her own vtuber agency, as she has stated having an interest in doing so in the past.

If you didn't know, Hololive is a japanese Idol/Virtual Entertainment Company.

Amelia Watson is from the recently added Hololive EN branch of virtual idols.

Vtubers are basically streamers that use an anime avatar while streaming and usually have a set personality, background, and lore to go along with their avatar.

Jeez the power of simping is truly awe-inspiring and terrifying.

Amelia Watson is doing a 9-hour charity stream right now.

She initially set a goal of 15K, and the chat reached that goal like 30 minutes before the stream even started!

She kept pushing the goal higher and higher during the stream and now they're sitting at 200K donated for Best Friends Animal Society.

What's even crazier is that because there's no limit on donations for charity people have been shelling out the BIG BUCKS.

Current top donation by a single person is $15,000! And there were a couple of 1K, 2K and 5K donations popping up during the stream. People are GENEROUS.

Not to sound insensitive but does this mean the manga will never be finished?

Yeah, typically for manga when the author dies the manga is left as is "to preserve their memory."

There might be some cases where the mangaka left notes and a will specifically stating for someone to continue their work, but I don't know of any such cases happening off the top of my head.
