Base stats are always better in FE because you already have those stats, and unlike a Jagen they can keep up until endgame. Or in Seth's case solo the game while having Eirika rescued. Some people mistakenly view Byleth as a lord, but really they're an Oifey leading 8 trainees. Great bases (13 STR!) and some very aggressively mediocre growths. |

It gets much easier as you progress and reach promotion levels. I haven't played in quite a while but iirc ambush reinforcements are only a real problem in chapter 5 where you will simply get ganked and die if you don't know where and how they spawn. It's really not particularly difficult considering it's the highest difficulty. I wouldn't necessarily recommend doing a bunch of meme builds with your units but you can clear just fine using only "canon" classes, no need to turn it into wyvern emblem. p.s., using the wolves is borderline cheating, they break the difficulty curve a ton |

Hard is an absolute joke and NG+ completely erases teaching and recruiting, which is what makes 3H unique. Good if you want to cut as much of the monastery out of the game as possible and focus only on the chapters, but the map design in 3H is, uh... Maddening can be (very) unbalanced at points, but so is every other FE game on its highest difficulty. |
