I know I'm going to be in the unpopular majority here...but banning guns isn't going to fix anything and isn't the answer. Clearly what we're doing (basically nothing) isn't the answer. We've never tried banning guns--it might be the answer. Might at the very least make a notable improvement. We don't know since we've never even tried it. Why not try it for a couple of years, just to see the impact. If it really doesn't seem to make a difference, then fuck it.
