Isgebind down! Second 4* magicite beaten, first time in 33.04s, then trimmed to 31.30s. Can't manage to sub30 though. I don't have a chain for this one like I did for Maliris, though for the first time in any magicite, I switched my healer to someone other than Rosa. Brought in Arc since I have his Pblink SSB, and Isgebind is all physical. Helped avoid one sheet of ice. Only issue is he doesn't have 4* support so he can't wrath. Gave him the lionheart RM instead.

In terms of magicite, using mom bomb as active for imperil, and have King Bomb, Maliris, Firemane, and Wing Raptor (for fast act).

Looks kinda similar to my team, but I have Zell instead of Refia. Try giving her TGC RM3, that might be all you need for sub-30.

Other considerations:
- Do you have a bow/thrown for Bartz? That would help for the flying phase. Might be worth a shot, even if it isn't fire+.
- Try if skipping BSB fire and going straight to USB isn't better.
- Does OK's Meltdown outdamage Smoldering Fires? If not, consider honing SF to r3 or r4.

I finally got a first Famfrit kill. I didn't master, but I'll take it. I can post a setup if anyone's curious (no chain, no Elarra/Aerith).

Now I just need to do this 7 more times *cries*
I really want a strong Spell Ward magicite, so I need 2 lvl.99 Famfrit's for a total 12% spell ward. I could even go for 14%, but something like a Health Boon would probably be better for that second free slot.

My dps was actually good enough to go quite a bit further, but incoming damage was just too much, and Vanille (with BSB) couldn't keep up. Maybe if I had her doublecast LM2, but I'm not going to waste my precious 5* motes to find out.

Man, I did not expect Water magicites right away.

Apparently Famfrit is one of the easier 5*s, and I have KB, so I may be able to put something together that could work.

Geos on the other hand? I have some Lightning mage tech (Ashe USB and Shantotto USB), but nothing that could break his savage mode, because fuck Quetz.

I scrapped together a final 50 mythril and got a shitty 1/11 Shantotto Glint for it. Why couldn't it at least be empowered infusion?

I used my god-Rem (literally everything except the SSB + fully moted) for the Yiazmat solo clear.

Once I realized I needed Curada to survive until the BSB was ready, things went smoothly. BSB command 1 spam for constant 400k-900k damage. With the USB up, you get ridiculous speed. Yiazmat died shortly after his first 49,999 attack, around the 1:30 mark.

I've had an 8* Red Jacket since second anniversary, banner 1. At least, I think that was the banner.

I blew lots of mythril there, to finally get that Sephiroth OSB. Funny how we sometimes pick up the real gems while chasing something else.

I use a r2 Stitch. R3 would be a bit safer.

Wind magic is rare, and I like Fujin, but still... meh.

I spent my Sunday killing lots of Behemoth Kings. Best time was 35-something seconds.

Party:
Edge SSB - Stitch, Phantasm (Mako)
Shelke - Entrust bot for Edge (Ace Striker)
Maria USB (also has BSB, but not used) - Chain Stoneja, Chain Stonega (Weakness 30%)
Rinoa en-earth SSB+AOSB - Meltdown, Titan (Earth 30%)
Papalymo Leylines SSB - Chain Stonega, Quake (Dr Mog)

Titan on Rinoa and Quake on Papa are because I wasn't going to create a third Chain Stoneja, or hone that second copy higher than r3.

Magicite:
Shell Dragon (with Empower Earth) as main
Midgardsormr with Magic Boon
2 x Hades, 1x Shadowmare, with Quickcast 8, Magic Boon 15, and Quickcast 5.

Strategy:
To start, make sure everyone survives his first AoE with as little health as possible. Without Lightning resist, this means around 7200 HP, so I used Life Waters as necessary on Edge, Maria and Rinoa. Shelke has enough HP to be safe regardless. Papalymo took Lightning resist instead. Since he isn't dived, he was nowhere near the required amount.

For the actual fight, Shelke uses Raider RW, Edge uses Stitch and Phantasm, and doesn't pop his first SSB until after BK's first attack. Papa opens with Leylines for the buff and quickcast.
3 casts of a 6* ability give Rinoa and Maria their first SB, just as BK triggers Last Stand.
Then they spam abilities, and Rinoa makes sure not to use her AOSB until it will kill, or get VERY close (less than 90,000 left, 1 turn of damage by Edge and Maria). You don't want to break his Savage mode.

The attack pattern is basically "Trigger Last Stand -> blinkable attack", rinse and repeat, with the occasional "does nothing" (i.e. heal or self buff) thrown in. So Edge doesn't have too many problems keeping his buffs active.

I got a dupe Pecil BSB which went straight to the vault.

I also 100-gemmed Barret's LMR. I have pulled enough Barret relics in my FFRK life, that this doesn't even annoy me. Sure, I would have preferred Zack chain or Yuffie USB, but if I ever want to use Barret, I have no problem equipping him with a gunarm.

Regen and Esuna are not great effects. Astra is fine, but I'd generally prefer Quickcast, instant cast, guts, or some other effects over the other two.

Lots of Discos on this RoP (that's my 6th!), but they have mostly been mediocre. OSBs don't really help much in this day and age.

Cloud's wind quickcast LMR. Never really liked that type of LMR much, and my Cloud doesn't have enough other relics to make him worth using, but you never know what the future holds. If I ever draw his USB2 (quickcast LMs love chases or doublecasts), this would become much better.

Got Curilla BSB on XI. Not great, but at least it's new.

My luck on VIII was pretty terrible. I had planned for up to 3 pulls, but after going 3/33 (Quistis Glint, Rinoa USB2, Squall BSB dupe), I rage pulled once more and got Rinoa AOSB and another Rinoa USB2.

This banner still has so much stuff I want, but I'm down to 83 mythril, and another pull just isn't happening.

Easily sub-30'd the D240 and D280. Rinoa's USB is all kinds of ridiculous.

After a few tries, I got to 58% on the D??? before getting Dead End'ed. Rinoa getting silenced around the 50% mark was a death sentence for my dps. Unicorn eventually Esuna'd her, but too much time had been wasted, to go any further.

That Octopath collab is such a letdown. I would have been fine without new characters (it's not like I ever use Sora or Riku), but not even a banner? That's just too much. Just do a banner with some old tech that covers boss weaknesses, or something. Anything is better than the huge pile of nothing we got.

As for banners that actually exist, I got Balthier OSB. Pretty bad, but at least it's new.
