After doing the Safer Sephiroth CM, I actually felt motivated to tackle D??? Jenova. I probably could have done this a while ago, but I never really felt like attempting it seriously.



I'm pretty damn stacked, but it's my first AASB-less sub-30, so I'm still very happy.

Zack CSB, USB - Boostga, chain building and called the magicite
Shelke - Entrustbot
Aerith USB2 - Dispel and Hastega as her abilities
Sephiroth - USB1, USB2, AOSB

Zack had DMT, then went LS, LS, Chain, so the boostga would last until the end.

Shelke started with Mako Might, entrusted to Sephiroth right away, then entrusted anything else to Aerith. She also IC'd the realm chain on turns 3 to overwrite Zack's wind chain.

Tifa started with Earthen Rebuke, then spammed Ironfist Earth once the USB2 was up.

Sephiroth spammed Demon's Cross, then after trance triggered, USB1->USB2, then more DC spam and AOSB.

What did you do about death in phase 2/3, just get lucky?

Not that it still helps you, but I absorbed Curaga after he used it in phase 2.
In phase 3, Meltdown doesn't happen until the 3rd turn, and I killed phase 3 before he got that far.

Has anyone here done Merciless Weapon (Transcendent)? I usually skip the ridiculous superbosses but this one gives Anima Lenses that I'd like to grab. But I'm not sure it's worth the effort.

You will get a bunch of lenses from upcoming events, so those 35 don't matter all that much, all things considered. But I'll probably try a few runs later today, or maybe tomorrow.

This fest I cleared out my transcendent backlog by killing Bahamut and Shinryu&Omega. If I can do Omega Weapon, I'd be caught up on Transcendants for the first time since Nemesis.

That definitely looks like more than 300.000 health (10%). Closer to 450.000 (15%), I think.
Besides, I'm not sure your AOSB would cap at a chain count of 40. His Def/Res in phase 3 is insane.

I'll admit, I'm also sceptical about the value of Tyro USB4. If my banner 2 hadn't gone as well as it did, allowing me to save 100 mythril from my budget, I don't think I would have pulled here.

But many JP vids have Tyro USB4 or his AASB, which is basically a straight upgrade.
I'll see how well this does. If nothing else, I imagine I can tear wind-weak Odin apart with Bartz AASB, Zidane AASB, Zack Chain, and Tyro USB4.

Edward turn order is
Allegro, Entrust Kain, Allegro, Quetz, Allegro until the end. I had him use his BSB just before Kain gave the killing blow, but it had little effect. 629.999 instead of 625.000-ish. He could probably entrust to Rosa or Edge at some point instead.

Rosa uses mostly Holyja. She uses Curada once on her turn 3 to prevent Edge from dying. The rest is Holyja spam with her SSB when possible/needed. I do have her LMR1&LMR2, but her damage was pathetic regardless.

I think I had Edge cast the chain on the winning run, but it might also work to have Rosa do it. Speaking of Edge, he started with Flash Disaster for optimal SB gain, then switched to Raging Storm after the chain went up to do some damage.

My third sub-30 torment, thanks to my new Kain AASB and the 6* lightning jump.

Kain AASB+BUSB+Lightning Dive is an amazing combo.
The BUSB is a jump, so it gets instacast after the AASB, then two Lightning Dives are instant cast and no air time, followed by an instant brave command.
That rotation also generates enough SB gauge to repeat it a second time right after.

You need to be very fast on the inputs, but math says, it should be possible to fit 8 actions within the 15 second window.

I think I'm done with the CSB banner now. I'll try to pick up Ice and Earth chains somewhere else: at only 2 worthwhile relics, it's not worth chasing here any further.

I don't really like Zidane AASB all that much. It's not bad, but higher SB gain is such a lame secondary effect. You're spamming a 6* ability at 0CT for 15 seconds; you'd probably gain 4 bars from that, even without the extra SB gauge.

I have 250-ish mythril to spend. I'm thinking about doing a few more pulls on the chain banner. Still lacking any kind of Earth and Ice chain, and Seifer would be a major upgrade to Garland.

3/14 isn't great odds, but those might be the relics I need more than any other.

I wouldn't bother with a triple empower. If you're running a holy team, you'll probably have 2, maybe even 3 seperate Madeens.

It might also be worth considering a copy with double Dampen Holy and double Dampen Dark. Not a high priority, but something to think about.

Hell yeah. I'm completely exhausted, but I did it (well, 1/8th of it)
It was an RNG-fest unlike any I've ever experienced, but after trying for ~3 hours, I was victorious.
No imperil from Vincent in the first 2 turns meant an auto-restart
Too many, or not enough Aerith LM2 procs at the start means Vincent and Terra die instead of trancing.
OK needs to juggle his SB gauge very carefully, because he needs to refresh pUSB around 25 seconds, but most importantly, he needs to entrust enough gauge to Aerith to keep my characters alive.

Vincent BUSB is an amazing relic btw. Instant cast, en-fire, and the next turn is also instant cast. Brave command is very useful to lower savage level, because Bartz and Terra sometimes have a hard time breaking savage mode 3, if the chain isn't high enough.

2 casts of Fabula Mage and a 399,999 Terra AOSB was more than half of his phase 3 health gone.
