I'll wait to see how 6* magicites actually turn out before forming an opinion.

I hope I can beat Ark on release (or a day later with Holyja). Deathgaze would be nice, but what I really want is a magicite that allows me to increase my dark damage without crippling my healing.

I'm a huge fan of Blade/Spell Ward.
I'm not sure it's worth doing double-wards on 4* magicites, but at the 5* level, double wards give 12% resistance.

They are a great way to mitigate bosses who use a wide range of elements, and one of the only ways to mitigate non-elemental damage (especially piercing), unless you bring breakdowns (often a major waste in endgame content)

Something to keep in mind for Lakshmi, is that she dooms slot 1 and 5 for you. You can use Reaping Scythe in these slots without the need to run a party doom, or a 4* self-doom.

I run Seph (USB2+AOSB) with Crimson Cross (to proc trance quickly) and Reaping Scythe in Slot 1.

I'm skipping this one (except a 100-gem 4*). Since I can beat both holy magicites somewhat comfortably, I have no immediate need to improve my darkness. Not to mention, I'm kinda mythril-poor right now.

My go-to when I need Last Stand is Aerith USB2. I had a hard time with Kefka until I switched from Elarra USB to Aerith. The Counter Ultima spam followed by whatever his super strong move was called just murdered me without Last Stand.

Ovelia USB would be a great pick for Kefka, since the Res+100% works well against Kefka's super attack.

As for Hades, Larsa BSB/USB and Iris BSB are probably the most common Astra sources, though there are other relics. Then there's obviously Unicorn magicite. But you can also use magic Blink to dodge the Black Cauldron. Maybe Ross USB1.

Got my first daily disco for 2019: Firion's AOSB Very nice.

I think Firion's kinda meh as a character, but it will certainly help for torment, if nothing else. To be fair, with the AOSB and w-cast Samurai, he might be my second best physical ice.

Edit: wow, it's actually a fire+ Sword. That's something I was still missing.

Personally, I feel Mog, Wedge and Biggs are all useless for my teams. The only things that would help me at all are Tyro USB4 and Elarra USB2 (USB1 is a dupe) and that's just not worth 100 mythril.

The first one gave me Terra's Awakening (should have stopped at that point), and the other 7 just gave me a bunch of Cloud stuff that I don't give a shit about.

No Wind chain, no Bartz awakening, no Rosa.

I really can't be bothered doing any kind of dedicated Magia farming. I have simply created a 5-man party of my best characters which I take to all dailies / events.

Once I get this group to 100, I'm switching them out for 5 new characters.

Relative lack of chains is a major issue with the next fest imo.

AASBs are becoming very common, but chains remain rare.

Let's consider physical wind, for instance.
Zidane, Bartz, Cloud, Zack, Luneth all have AASBs in JP now. And there might be others I'm forgetting. But Faris is the only physical wind chain 2.0.

Skipping banners 1 and 2 for sure.

Banner 3: I only have 2 gen2 chains and both are dupes here, argh. Regardless, holy and fire chains would be great, and I'm sure I can find a use for Ignis BSB. Rikku LMR and Prompto LMR are good consolation prizes. Probably 100 mythril here.

Banner 4: Terra, Bartz and Faris are my most wanted relics of the entire fest. Rosa USB is great and a major improvement over her SSB for torment. Unfortunately I already have Elarra, so the value is somewhat diminished. I hate all the Cloud crap here, but what can you do... up to 150 mythril, but Clouds tools and my 2 dupes scare me.

Banner 5: If I ever want a shot at Syldra, I need an ice chain. I just don't really feel like this is the right banner to look for one. Laguna would be the much better pick than Celes for Ice chain. I'll have to take a look at future ice chain banners.

I'm pulling on the USB LD. There's certainly a risk of getting crap, but the way I see it, any healer USB or slotsaver USB is going to be a major help for their torment, which is still the hardest content, with the possible exception of Syldra.
Even among dps USBs, there's quite a few that work really well with Awakenings, not to mention you're unlikely to field a full team of Awakenings anytime soon.
