Got Penelo's USB2 on the LotR. That's a very nice relic: instant cast to the party and an AoE heal after each dance.

With my lvl 99 Syldra (from 4 RS clears), Zack Chain, Terra Awakening and an ability double Palom, Adamantoise wasn't too bad.

Not sure if I have what it takes to tackle Odin. Maybe the fire weak version, we'll see.

I've started doing some Radiant Shield kills on Syldra. Maintenance is likely to bring the ward-nerf, where wards no longer lower damage from 9999 to 9199 (or whatever).

So I figured I should get 4 kills while I still can. Besides, I want to fight Odin.

With 4 last stand healers and Alphinaud RS, it's pretty easy to do, even if each run takes around 40 minutes.

2 down, 2 more to go.

I'm really not a fan of Fast Act.

HP Boon is good. I think you probably want Magic Boon on an Evrae as well. Mage teams will very much appreciate that bonus Mag, especially Sephiroth if he's acting as a mage against Madeen.

I guess. Fran will get buffed to Machinist 6* too, and if I pick her USB with lenses, that might get the job done. I think ice is the second one of these (after lightning), so it's at least closer than some others.

There's also the small chance that I'll pull an ice chain from RoP or elemtal banners.

I forgot I also have Fujin's USB, which does a chase, but it's kinda awful. No stat buff and the chase only happens every 2 attacks.

A legit Syldra clear isn't happening anytime soon, without a chain or Imperil SB. I'd have to do 4 Radiant Shield clears, which I d'really rather not.

I don't have Syldra, so at best I have 15 seconds of Savage breaking if I run Terra. Maybe the NE on her OSB could break Savage mode too, but I kinda dout it.

I mean it more in the sense that I dived a character whose best relic is a SSB. I think I could have won without the dive, if I had been more willing to fish for good doublecast rng on Bartz. If I look at the screenshot, I see that Bartz would have managed his final attack before the 30 second mark. That's 200k damage right there, which I doubt Dorgann's dive contributed.

Even with Bartz Awakening, this wasn't exactly an easy sub-30 win.
I wanted to combine Bartz USB1 with his Awakening for the Quickcast and the extra chases, but I was too slow. So I gave Faris DMT and had her entrust Bartz early so he could combo both SBs.

I still had several runs that got the kill just slightly after the 30 second mark (one at 30:01), until I decided to blow some motes on Dorgann for that little extra damage and chain building. Probably not the smartest decision, but whatever; I still have 1425 Dex and 1999 Vit.

Only listing SBs and abilities I actually used:
Lenna USB1 - Curada, Protectga - no LMs - Ace Striker
Krile SSB1 & BUSB - cFiraja - LM1&LM2 - Mako Might
Bartz USB1 & Awakening - Inferno Assault - LMR1&LM2 - Weakness damage

I haven't done a full price draw in a while (only did the first 2 USB selects), but a chain banner will get my hard-earned cash.

Assuming Gen 1 only, I'm probably picking Zack chain, with an outside-shot of Rinoa/Snow.
If Gen 2's are in, Laguna or Faris both become very interesting picks too.

I'm trying it with a full FFX team, and it's significantly harder than I expected. Damage is higher than expected, and he 's quite bulky with the def buff. I might have to re-craft Armor Break to remove the buff.

If I really can't win with a full FFX team, I'll bring 1-2 off-realm characters, but for now, I enjoy actually having a new challenging fight for once.

The time was barely sub-50; not amazing, but good enough for now.



Maria USB+BSB - spamming CStoneja and CStonega, then BSB
Minwu SSB+BSB(1? Hastega+Regen) - opens with Hastega, spams Holyja, refreshes Haste after~20seconds with his BSB and emergency heals with IC SSB
Emperor BSB2(enearth)+USB1(imperil) - Opens with Shellga, then Meltdown spam
Firion BSB+AOSB - Mostly Fire samurai spam, He gets enough gauge for a few IC blinks. Removes ProShellga in phase 4 with Banishing Strike
Hilda BSB - Uses lots of AcM, and overwrites the Atk&Mag buff when necessary

Maria, Firion, and Hilda were fully dived. Firion had w-cast Samurai and Minwu had w-cast white.

Between all the magic blinks and two medicas, damage really wasn't too bad, as long as I managed to overwrite the buff.

I already had his USB from a previous RoP, so with those two relics he's a pretty amazing earth monk.
The problem is, I also have Tifa's best stuff, and I feel she's probably the stronger monk.

Yeah. He's all piercing and does very little damage. Dedia Elarra will heal you just fine.

Yeah, the biggest differences are I'm missing Ramza's chain and Marche's USB.

My auto-includes are:
- Orlandu USB/OSB/LMR
- Warrior of Light Chain/USB1/OSB/AOSB

Then my contenders for the remaining spots are:
- Ramza BSB2/USB1, doublecast LMR
- PCecil BUSB/GSB, enholy LMR
- Beatrix BSB1/BSB2/OSB, (doublecast LM2)
- Elarra USB
- Agrias BSB

Sadly PCecil's brave does not have cap break, instead it's 7 hits +4000 party HP stock

I would try

Elarra with Dedia spam (slot 1 or 5 for maximum SB gauge and quickcast)
Beatrix with her BSB, maybe an OSB in her final 5 seconds
Orlandu (I have him in the middle so he doesn't get blinded and Osmosed)
Ramza
WoL

That's kinda similar to my team, that wins in 30-35 seconds
Aerith (USB2), Beatrix (BSB2+OSB), TGC (USB+OSB), Agrias (USB2), Edward (CSB)

I'm not sure you have enough imperil with just Dedia and Beatrix, but double boostga from Raider and Shout 2.0 might make up for that. At least your WoL can dps unlike my Edward, so that kinda compensates for gen 1 vs. gen 2.

Astra and/or Magic Blink are almost mandatory. If your dps is good enough, you can dodge most of his status BS. He is highly scripted, so if you push through his phases quickly, you should be fine.

It's been a long time since I last fought him, but my run was basically:

- Enough dps to skip first Savage Cauldron
- Blink second Cauldron
- Astra from Unicorn avoids the Interrupt
- Burst down fast enough to kill before another Savage Cauldron

Don't forget to re-haste immediately after he uses Dispel at 50%.

You can use Afflication Break to hopefully make a few of his countdown reductions miss. Or you have to be faster.

I pulled on the 15-mythril banner for II. Got a dupe w-Samurai LMR for Firion and w-White LMR for Minwu.

Disappointing, but considering how bad Minwu's LM2 is, his w-cast has some value, at least. I do have him spamming Holyja in my current torment setup.
