Ever notice how the 5 Indy movies are very similar to the 5 Die Hard movies quality-wise?

In both series:
The first movies are iconic
The second are considered less than the originals but still good
The third have a jump back to the quality of the first ones
The fourth movies are very divisive, full of a lot of ridiculousness
And most people agree neither should've had a 5th movie.

Die Hard 4 is lightyears better as a movie than Indy 4.

But yes, both 5th movies in these franchises are atrocious.

No, South Park just lost touch with its own brand of comedy.

Used to be off kilter humor, kids actually acting more like kids, you had pop culture references and celebs occasionally but they weren't used as the crutch for the entire show to exist on like now, and it explored a lot more of its wacky citizens.

You don't really have any of that nowadays with South Park.

Anyway, ignoring the leftovers of 261 in this topic, this movie never really seemed to get its due props for ages. I think it's since the first movie played things more straight whereas this one opted to be more of a parody.

Topic about a quality, underrated movie and you just had to ruin it from the jump by making it about your eye rolling political views.

People who still cling onto the ignorant 'country music sucks!' mentality get their perception by modern country artists. You need to listen to some older stuff.

Dude, this saying is as old as dirt and just dated at this point. Anyone who has been on this site long enough knows this isn't necessarily always the case. Rule enforcement has never been consistent.

Are there people who ignore the rules? Sure.

Is that also used way, way, way too often as a crutch to justify sloppy rule enforcement consistency? Absolutely. Has been for years.

That's just how it's always been. The userbase has historically had issues understanding and following the rules and so to has the staff. In other news - it's another day that ends in y.

CE has NEVER been a good board to begin with. It's always been...what it is. That being said it was becoming 261 2.0.

Combine that with the staff's inability to properly moderate politics related messages properly and you reach the conclusion that it's for the best to just get rid of political discussion overall on this site.

If it's going to to continue to be handled poorly (always was and always will be), it's just best not to even have it and deal with the issues surrounding.
