| WazzupGenius00 07/12/18 11:42:05 PM #22 | so the first thing to know is that it was much more successful in Japan than the US, so there are tons of good JP-only games. This is why I would recommend a PC-Engine (the Japanese version) over a TurboGrafX. (There may be some means to override region restrictions, but Ive never looked into it.) The crown jewel of the system is Castlevania Rondo of Blood, which is indeed JP-only. The other important thing to know is that it had a CD add-on device, and unlike most consoles weird add-ones, this actually got a lot of games. They did release versions with the CD function built-in, too, but I dont know which route is cheaper to buy. When I get home Ill give some game recommendations, but for now Ill say the two main things it excelled at were high quality arcade ports (frequently better than SNES and Genesis, despite technically being an 8-bit system) and shoot em ups. --- |

If not for the difficulty I'd recommend the original Ninja Gaiden series. The first two have infinite continues so you could brute force your way through eventually, but they're even harder than Mega Man. --- |

Whether they're attached to the console, attached to a joycon grip to be more like a normal controller, or just held separately in each hand, all three of these methods are functionally the same, just with different form factor. do multiplayer games require you to use 4 joycons total, or does each person get one? can you choose for each to use two? This varies by game. Some can be played 2-player with two joycons total, held horizontally, but some require a full set of buttons for each player. There are system options to assign what joycons are for which player. I dont suppose it'd support wii u or wii controllers either? Nah, with the exception of Gamecube controllers plugged into the gamecube controller adapter --- |
