I remember my sister had an appendix issue so severe to the point it burst, toxins leaked through her body everywhere and she nearly died because a doctor dismissed it as period pain (she was 12/13 and just beginning puberty)

It isn't that I'm embracing tipping devs but I'm not going to lie I have felt this to a degree.

When it comes to big huge games like Elder Scrolls, Witcher, Dragon Age, those type of games I usually wait about 2 years after release for most of the bugs to be worked out, all DLC and any expansion to be put out.

So by the time I play them I'm often picking up a GOTY type edition for like $20 to $25 and at the completion of those games after doing everything possible to 100%, every single quest, everything I have often felt damn near guilty about how much amazing content I received for such a paltry investment on my part.

I guess the thing is there are the occasional games, like RDR2 and Elden ring, where I ended up putting 100+ hours in so I got tremendous value out of my full priced game and at face value, yes I would have been happy to tip an extra $20

But over the years I've overpaid for a lot of really rushed and crappy games made by lazy people and I've never been entitled to a post purchase discount/refund, so why should it work the other way?

He was in a weird position where he was used to working in restaurant settings where he had objectively the hardest and most important job, so did not know how to handle the completey different environment where his, admittedly very talented cooking came secondary to the health and happiness of the elderly residents

He almost had a military attitude toward the whole thing, so strict on the rules. It made sense for the food hygeine related ones, but not the stock level ones. Half the time a lot of the food would go to waste as an elderly persons appetite can be hard to predict. Anyway not excusing it but in hindsight I at least understand why he was so hurt(at the time I thought he was straight up psycho)

Anyway, when people excuse people like Gorden Ramsay's behaviour with something like "chefs are some of the most stressful jobs actually so it's justified" I can't help but roll my eyes

I've had some very horrible and unique experiences with chefs, as I worked at a "5 star" aged care centre in the richest part of Sydney.

They hired top tier chefs to cook for the residents, even cooking right in front of them in the dining hall so the aromas would stimulate the appetite of the oldies. While me and the nursing assistants played waiter (and rushed off the residents to the toilet if nature called etc)

Anyway, long story short, one 90 yr old woman asked for an extra serving of ice cream once, the chef told me it wasn't feasible as they had strict food stock rules. I made a rude smirk, which was my bad, but it was in between being bitten and punched by dementia residents and wiping asses. I had a tough, tough job and he knew it.

Anyway the chef cornered me in an elevator an hour later and said 'im a serious man with a serious job' and I felt he was about to hit me

I'm 37, so I'm getting there.

I'm diagnosed autistic, and have body dysmorphia issues, but I mostly credit it to never trying whatsoever.

So my disabled client, the one from page 1 that started this conversation really into gear, is autistic too. I didn't want to mention that as I didn't want to imply it had anything to do with the ability to date and stuff, but the... Lack of understanding of certain nuances in social situations and communication has held him back a lot. It's a tricky one to tackle

This pretty much. They must know the footage contradicts CM Punk's explanation of events to the point it basically makes him look both violent and a liar. Itl backfire if Punk's version of events looks accurate. He did imply he didn't instigate the fight.

It is stooping kinda low to do this on live tv, as situations like this always have more to it than meets the eye, but I have been in a situation before where I couldn't help showing the evidence I had to prove a liar wrong.

I think he means more that the issues as to why he can't have a relationship won't suddenly go away after he has sex.

Sure maybe it'll change his perspective of things but I think some people do think of a potential relationship as someone who will magically fix all of their problems and issues for them when that isn't a fair or realistic expectation. If anything a relationship puts more pressure on a person to improve and be better.

It's basically continue trying nothing or try something different. And I think there's very little to lose and everything to gain by doing this

Yep. Like from my loosely related experience, a lot of my anxiety around sex was that my inexperience would be a turn off to the other person, like they might think I'm funny and sweet but if I'm not any good(or have hangups) in the bedroom they'll look elsewhere.

Even though it's probably a bit overly paranoid, it felt good kind of just learning how things worked with an escort. It was fun too.

Wouldn't say the situation makes me happy or unhappy. Its just a part of my life, same as my job or hobbies.

That "being afraid of them saying yes" hits so hard for me. I spent ages 17-20 in this weird semi confident but not really state because I'd made out with a few girls but hadn't gone further yet so the first part of dating had become easy and automatic but the next step felt impossible. I screwed up so many situations from being afraid to be vulnerable and just admit I was a virgin. Looking back it's so funny I thought being 20 and a virgin was some huge shocking thing, obviously dumb peers of mine using virgin as an insult (not at me but in front of me) didn't help

Do you think your view would change if you had no other option? Maybe you're just more open minded about sex than I am, but prostitution is not appealing to me in the slightest.

My problem lies with finding a partner who wants to be with me. Finding a date, and a relationship. How would a prostitute help me to attract someone? Help me be able to speak better? Help me be someone worth being with?

I know your going to say confidence, but it would hurt mine. If you're going to say experience, that would only benefit me after finding success.

The big benefit of sex for the sake of sex(paid sex)I think is just normalising something I'd only ever thought about or seen in porn. understanding women's view on things better.
