I hadn't played it since it came out and I beat it, and I remember liking 4 but not as much as 3, and 5, while fun, was pretty meh overall. 3 has way more personality too it, and while it has the ubisoft towers, and a lot of what ultimately became the ubisoft formula, the vast majority of it is all truly optional, and no microtransaction nonsense. Vaas is still fucking awesome. The environment is better, the hostile wildlife is better(fucking cassowaries). --- |

They had to do a literal year's worth of patches, nearly one every couple months, in order to make witcher 3 run the way it does now. I remember it on launch on ps4, framerate got reaaaal bad sometimes, particularly any time fog or smoke was on screen. There were more problems than just framerate too. They're probably trying to make it work as good as possible on the OG systems, but make no mistake, it'll be heavily downgraded from the pc version and the inevitable ps5/xbx versions. --- |
