It was a tough decision but I uninstalled to stop myself from playing for now. 2v2 games are against coordinated duos with 1000 more MMR than you while you get paired with 600 Iron Giant players.

So you move to 1v1 and get paired against people with 6000 more MMR than you.

Maybe if they fix the matchmaking I'll come back one day but this game is a mess right now unless you try to find a duo partner which I don't like doing.

My MMR is 1500

I just got paired against an Arya with 7600 MMR, 6th Arya in MMR but his Twitch says he's number 1.

He comboed me from basically 0 to 150, no amount of DI was getting me out of that combo, no idea what to even do against that.

Why is the matchmaking so bad in this game.

Those modes don't really interest me at all. I just want to actually play the game against people at my skill level and not EVO winners.

I've no lifed other fighting games before and been at a high level but I don't have the time or motivation anymore to do that with this game.

Yeah and I only switched to 1v1 because duos put me and another 1500 guy against two 3000 guys who only played games with each other.

Like yeah me and some random dude are never going to beat a coordinated pair of 3000 MMR guys.

I hope there's no doubt from the devs why this game is bleeding players. I've gotten enough out of the game to justify my purchase but every time I play lately I feel like I should just uninstall when I leave the game.

There's no room to casually hop in a play a few games against people of my skill level. It's stomp or be stomped

Yeah I made the decision to uninstall again yesterday. Battlegrounds is okay but I feel myself just using it as a way to waste time instead of actually enjoying it. I can find better ways to spend time when I'm bored.

Sorry I meant stat caps like tier 1 minions cap out at 30/30 or something.

Adding caps based on minion tier would be an interesting experiment at least, but I doubt most players would support something like that.

Either way I don't take it too seriously just something to play on my lunch break but it's losing my attention fast.

Poison would be fine as an identity for murlocs if they didn't also have the potential to scale as good as any other minion type. End game murlocs should have like 30 health max, not 80+

They did remove it a while ago in place of another murloc that had "avenge (4) give a murloc poison" or something but they brought it back.

Then they added ball of minions which is a better amalgam and that tier 6 minion that adapts for each of your minions but it has built in poison.

Welp it's been about a month since I reinstalled to play Battlegrounds and I think I'm done again. This meta is so awful with poison murlocs still being the best strategy in 9/10 games.

I'm guessing they saw Ninja Batman as the only other skin that was worthy of being a level 50 reward but they'd rather charge $20 for it instead.

During the beta the Ninja Batman was a battle pass reward I believe.

Those occurances were pretty common for normal matches too, it's basically the major reason I stopped playing. I thought ranked might actually pair you against your own skill level but it seems like the only change is forcing a rematch.

Does anyone have any experience with knock off games like Brotato or Soulstone Survivors?

Soulstone Survivors actually looks pretty good but Brotato looks a little too plain for me I think.

Genuine, non trolling question to the topic. How do you guys find enjoyment when playing Hearthstone?

Is it deck building? Pulling off fun combos? Ruining other people's days with annoying decks?

Because playing 1 game against 40 health Druid who has 16 mana on turn 8, 20 armor, and a Lich King + Mo'arg Forgefiend on board I genuinely do not understand how I ever enjoyed playing this game.

And it took me about 10 minutes to even get to this position when I should have just conceded on turn 1.

I'm not interested in the meta or counters for this deck, just how do you guys find fun in Hearthstone?

I'm having an okay time playing Battlegrounds but 1 game of Standard against a 40 health Druid makes me want to uninstall again. So maybe I should just stick to BGs.

Ugh Hearthstone gave me 80 packs to come back.

This isn't enough for me to reinstall Hearthstone but Death Knight looks fun.

I got Gamma 1 with 150 and stopped there.

The new Halloween event is fun but I don't feel a desire to play it again like I did with the first one. But I mainly played the first one for free Arcade wins in OW1.

Yes but the new support Kiriko can AOE cleanse sleep and she can cleanse Ana's anti-heal nade too.

Kiriko AOE cleanse - 14 second cooldown lol

Her self bubble and ally bubble used to share the same cooldown. So in OW1 she'd need to make a decision to shield herself or shield an ally.

Now she has 2 bubbles charges and she can use them on herself or allies. It has a 2.5 second duration with a 10 second cooldown.

So during a fight she can bubble herself 3 times in 10 seconds which means you basically have to ignore her as she's charging at your team or risk putting her energy at 100 which just makes her even scarier. Sure she's not bubbling anyone else on her team in that scenario but she's causing too much damage to ignore too.

Well I think those concerns were before she did a bagillion damage, even without any charge, and when she only had 1 bubble on an 8 second cooldown.

They just need to lower her damage a little bit and she's probably fine.

If they're still just copying other game's monetization then they'll probably have event currency you get for playing games. Most of the things you can but with the event currency will be titles and dumb stuff like that. Maybe one or two skins for a crazy amount of currency. Probably grind for the entire event to unlock a skin.

But even that model is probably still too generous for OW2.

I realized today that I have not been paying attention to the "Dragon Ball Story" section and I have like 50 stones worth of levels I need to do there.

This game was released on July 19th and there are STILL people online who just spam Shaggy's side B.

AND THEY WON THE DUO MATCH. It was unstoppable with his partner covering everything.

I had no interest in this show and I actually liked Rogue One but I decided to start watching based on friend recommendations. And yeah this show is definitely worth watching.

The thing that's really blowing me away is that the production value feels so much higher than all of the other SW shows baring maybe Mando. Like this makes Boba Fett and even Obi Wan look like CW shows in comparison. The sets and design are just miles away. Hopefully this is the new standard for SW shows going forward.

Yeah but with OW1 I only played each week to get my 9 weekly arcade wins. Then I'd be done until the next week. Now I don't even have a reason to play once a week.

Yes the game itself should be fun enough to just play without any rewards but some of our brains don't work that way!

Yeah and even if the arcade counted toward the battle pass, the rewards in the pass suck anyway. Even if you pay to unlock the premium stuff it's like 4 or 5 skins that aren't very good. Just doesn't feel worth putting my time into Overwatch anymore!

As someone who mainly played Mystery Heroes to get weekly arcade wins in OW1 I'm not finding much of a reason to boot this game up either.

The battle pass is not a good motivator and the coin flip that is competitive games is too much of a gamble. Am I going to wait in queue for 10 minutes to get stomped or stomp the other team? Are either options actually fun?

I'm sure this would be fun if I had a group of 4 other people to play with though.

I've been having more fun after switching from Superman to Shaggy but Stripe still needs to be deleted out of this game. His moves have so much priority it's crazy

Everyone is fine after a super so you need to get lucky with slot 1 attacks. UI goku dodging everything on the turn he transformed was clutch too

Fortnite gives you more coins than you spend on the BP I believe. Like the BP costs 1000 vbucks ($10) and they give you something like 1250 or 1500 vbucks for completing the whole battlepass.

So not only can you buy the next season's pass but you get a few extra vbucks left over.

Some people are hoping that the 2nd OW battle pass will give enough coins to pay for itself but that seems really unlikely.

Okay after playing for about 3 hours I'm officially done until the next character drops I guess. This game really needs to stop adding fast characters with crazy projectiles.

Day 1 Stripes beating my 100 hour Superman with 350 damage to 100 is leaving a pretty sour taste in my mouth for this game.

I think that's just a running joke they have with new characters. They said Morty was the first plumbus wielding character IIRC.

Also I only played Stripe for about 15 minutes in bot matches but he seems pretty good. His moves have a lot of knockbox for some reason and his gun seems like a free kill off the top.

You actually get 60 gold coins a week if you do your weekly challenges.

Since skins cost about 2000 coins that means you can buy a skin every 33 weeks or so!

So if you work hard you can buy one skin every 8 months.

Probably the 17/18 DFE and the 19/20 unit.

I started playing this again to kill time when I'm waiting in queue for OW2. Still good but I do feel like I find myself trying to create the same build every game. Do you guys have a strategy or change stuff up depending on the character you pick?

I got a little sick of spending every duo match chasing all of the projectile characters and I finished the battle pass so I'm taking a break for now.

I think too many characters have either a projectile they can spam on approach (ie Batman) or some crazy lingering neutral attack that is too good to approach with (ie Wonder Woman).

In general I think everything in this game is too safe and characters have too much mobility so it kinda encourages running away.

But those are fundamental issues they'll probably never fix so not sure how long this game will continue to hold my attention unless I switch characters or something.

It's kind of a lose-lose situation. If people can just work around it then that doesn't really stop the problem of blocking ban evaders. If people would pay for extra copies of OW1 to get around bans, then they'd easily pay a dollar for a phone number.

Agreed which is why I'm sure Blizzard will walk back this decision, especially based on the outrage.

I think if you can get around it by spending 5 minutes and $1 to get a number online then it's not really worth being upset about but I get that people are mad on principle or whatever.

The phone thing is annoying but people on the Reddit have posted ways to purchase a phone number for $1 to get around the issue.

All of the complaining posts I've seen have started with "I know you can pay $1 to get a phone number or whatever, but..."

Yeah it's annoying but this seems like the solution doesn't justify the outrage. Maybe I'm wrong and it's not possible for some people to buy the $1 phone number though.

30 Story refresh stones are live and the missions are very annoying. Unless you have a guide open telling you which stages to do you have to go back to the missions after every stage to see which one to do next. There's basically no logic to the stages and difficulties they picked it seems.

Actually I guess it's not that bad. You just do 1 and 10 then you start going up by 3 (13, 16, 19, 22, 25)

Players on Steam peaked to like 11,000 for Rick release and then they're back down to 2000 a few days later. I don't really buy into the "game is dead" stuff but the numbers this close to release are a little worrying.
