I've only played Cosmic Encounter once because one of our friends got really mad when we stopped him from winning and we never tried again. He's not a fun person to play games with so that's not a poor reflection on the game.

But the thing that seems the most interesting to me about CE is the different alien races you have. Seems similar to Betrayal in that regard because the actual game is kinda mundane but the appeal is playing around the unique gamestate each time.

I'm a little hazy on the rules but I believe that you randomly assign alien races at the beginning of the game and they all have different abilities and win conditions right?

Playing evolve shaman against an aggro druid has a full board. I evolved my creeper and totem into Anomolus and 0/7 taunt. Okay that's cool but I don't have a way to trigger the deathrattle on him...

Okay for real why do people insist on playing murlock Paladin and tier 1 decks in casual? You can't even try out weird decks without getting fucked by people playing real stuff.

Someone suggested a mode where you can't get gold toward daily wins and I think people would still go there and play the best decks.

I don't think I've had less fun with Hearthstone than I have in this expansion. Time for a break?

Kingsbane Rogue is annoying because it wrecks my Quest Mage deck. I'm trying to farm Cubelocks just leave me alone you dirty Rogues!

I played one on my lunch break and he managed to burn 6-7 cards on his turn. They were all cards I didn't really need and then on my turn the card I burned was Antonidas.

Considering Disney owns ESPN and EVO is basically the only time it makes sense showing a fighting game on TV I seriously doubt that they went out of their way to make sure Marvel wasn't there.

You should always dust these cards during nerf periods because you're getting 100% of the dust. If they end up being useful later or you get buyer's remorse you can recraft for free.

Yes but Priest getting worse means decks that lose to Priest but beat Cubelock can start coming into play.

My team actually got 1 shot by a Broly doing 150k on a regular attack at like 5x so I was pretty defeated on this one too.

Pulled the AGL Bardock from GSSR which looks to be a decent AGL support I guess.

Some of these Dokkan events for the LR Androids are fun because I haven't tried them since I first started the game. Super Vegito was one of my first units and I remember his event being kinda difficult but now SSJ4 1 shots his final phase. A good run only takes about 3 minutes but I'm sure the other events are going to be a little longer. Buuhan isn't hard but his first phase just takes forever.

Why would a company who sells alcohol want to advertise on a channel that is also running ads against alcohol? I've only ever seen anti drunk driving commercials but I think everyone would be on board with those. Doing this LR Android grind and I was VERY unprepared for the amount of Grandpa Gohan medals I would need. I definitely wouldn't have included the AGL medal stage on a list of stages I need to farm but I guess here we are.

Here's a quick summary on why the new Vegeta is great.

Stolen from the dokkan boards:

1. He has everything. 100% atk boost, 100% def boost, rage mechanic, and Super Vegito's counter
2. He hits harder than frickin SS4 Goku. And that's not counting his defense boost and counter and rage mechanic
3. His Rage mode is guaranteed at 30% health and he will always does a super (1-7ki Big Bang attack, 8-11 Final Flash, 12 ki furious galick gun when enraged)
4. While he tank, he counter every normal attack. And he gets 100% atk boost, compared to Super Vegito which has 0% atk boost and still counter very hard

So I'm a little confused about the super level up system when rarities are involved.

I have the INT Kid Buu at UR (not dokkaned) and I want to raise his super attack with some of the other Kid Buus I have. I have 2 of the AGL and one of the TEQ currently at level 1 SSR and the current level up chance is 50%. If I awaken them to URs will the rate go up to 100% or do I need to dokkan them to get 100%. Is 100% even possible?

I won with Warrior and it didn't count toward my Warrior quest so I'm guessing they treated these new cards like bosses in previous Tavern Brawls and just overwrote classes at random. Would also explain why the names change for you and your opponent.

that's if you're coming from the base game, which seems to cause people confusion. If you have just the regular edition of Final Fantasy XV, you have to buy the season pass and the royal upgrade to get what's included in the Royal Edition. There will likely also be a second season pass later when they detail the updates for 2018. So, two season passes AND a royal upgrade.

The upgrade to the royal edition for $20 includes the season 1 pass. So if you have the base game you only have to pay $20 to upgrade to the FULL royal edition which includes that pass. I'm not sure where you're seeing that you have to pay to upgrade AND pay for season 1 DLC.

EDIT: Okay I'm seeing some people say that the season 1 DLC is NOT included and the royal upgrade pack is literally just an extra dungeon and a few bosses for $20. This is the stupidest pricing model I've seen in a long time if that's true.

Wait this doesn't look right. The Royal Upgrade includes the 3 boy episodes and multiplayer expansion. It's basically the base game + 1st season pass + some extra goodies exclusive to royal upgrade. But there's a SECOND, yet to be released, season pass that the royal edition does NOT include from what I can tell.

I don't get annoyed by most DLC practices but I bought FFXV at launch and was VERY disappointed that they immediately said they were going to improve the story via patches later.

Add all of the extra content and silly hats you want to a game but why the fuck would I want to play a game when they came out and said that the story wasn't even done yet? I was about 5 hours in when they made that announcement and haven't touched it since.

I'm considering the $20 upgrade to try again but honestly it still feels pretty bad knowing that I basically paid $80+ for this game that STILL isn't complete.

There is literally no reason to buy games at launch anymore unless its an online game and even then you could still wait. It doesn't make any sense.

Yeah I mean honestly if the commentary doesn't make me physically cringe at any point then I consider it a success. I actually prefer the big couches too and I enjoyed the Sunshine run but sometimes they use a little too much jargon without going in detail.

I mean you finally get in the same room with someone who also speedruns Super Mario Sunshine and I understand the urge to want to talk shop. Listening to people talk about something they're passionate about even without having greater knowledge to appreciate it can be entertaining but I think sometimes they need to strike a better balance.
