no making 261 private and still doing a site wide politics ban is dumb cuz games do deal with political and social issues in their narratives and politics like it or not is intertwined in every aspect of our lives so turning a blind eye to it or brushing it under the rug doesn't make it go away

thankfully some of it is allowed on the system board but most of it get too heated or some ass whines about it cuz they don't want to shed light to the issue and the cause of it but these need to comedown imo cuz as i said we can't ignore politics when it's part of our lives and effects us in every aspects

And neither does posting about it here, on a site with shrinking user base, whether it is a closed board or not. 261 was a cesspit. We are all better off without it. China is worse for people in China than the US is for people in the US, but as for how they are for the rest of the world, theres certainly an argument that China is, if not already the less bad of the two, very likely to take that status in the near future unless something majorly changes in the US.

Some parts of the world may make that argument, with varying degrees of validity, though Im not sure that Chinas neighbors (other than Russia and North Korea at least) would be as inclined to agree.

It is better than the prequel trilogy, at least episodes 1 and 2.

Then there is the issues with comments, how easy it is for them to be auto-deleted or hidden. But as for competition, the real issue is no one can be expected to be able to afford the costs it would take to make a serious competitor.

If the US actually enters the war like they did in Gulf Storm Ukraine would get its original borders back very quickly. I don't see any realistic chance of the US entering the war though, especially in the near future.

Long term, it would not be shocking for Ukraine gain back control. The Taliban took back Afghanistan after 20 years of American occupation. Russia spent about 10 years propping up a hated regime in Syria and they lost the war. (although they may technically still have some bases there. I haven't checked recently)

If the US enters we get nuclear war and everyone dies. And to be fair about Syria, the focus on Ukraine is the big reason Russia could not commit force to Syria to potentially stop that.
