No one cares about the movie or the story, the only reason it sold so much is because 3D movies were brand new and everyone wanted to try it.

This, it was THE 3D movie when it came out and made 3D movies a thing for a while. Without the visuals, it's Pocahontas in space.

It sucks now, the corporation that owns Burger King bought it out in 2014, and the quality and service has gone down the toilet. If you're not going through drive-thru, you'll stand there for 5 minutes being ignored by the 4 people behind the counter waiting for the one person assigned to the till to take your order. The coffee tastes funny now, the food is an overpriced, slapped-together mess, and they ruin the icing on your doughnut putting it in the bag so it all sticks to the inside.

Two disengagements from the rubber -- including pickoff attempts -- per plate appearance

When there are runners on base, the pitcher needs to keep an eye on them to limit stolen base attempts. If they think a guy is taking a big lead, they'll step off the backstop on the mound - the rubber - and throw over to try to pick off the runner. Some times, they don't throw over and just step off to make the runner get back to the base, that would also count as a disengagement. This rule change makes it a lot more difficult for pitchers to control the running game, which will lead to a lot more stolen bases

I don't agree with limiting shifts... it just feels like it's rewarding supposed pro-level batters who can't control where they hit the ball (unless I'm underestimating its difficulty).

The guys who are batting really well are doing just that and hitting the ball all over the field, but in general batting averages are down across the sport. I think banning the shift is only going to make any real difference against lefties, against righties the second baseman is going to be just to the right side of second base instead of just to the left.

The pickoff limit is terrible, though. That's a significant fundamental change to the game

Nobody smart would barge right into a fortified position. If it's underground, it needs some kind of ventilation system, and the air intake for it is a highly vulnerable point. Not hard to make up one of many different kinds of highly toxic gases or smokes.

It furthers their understanding of how mathematics works, and these problems have big implications for other unsolved problems in mathematics, and at least one of these unsolved problems has huge implications for computer science.

Are the stat parameters you allocate during character creation fixed the whole game? I assumed you got stat points to spent as you level up, but at level 3 I've only gotten skill and feat points on level ups.

I did it once on a melee and explosives character. Legion is the weakest of the four options.

Both smartphones I've owned in my lifetime were cheap pieces of crap. My current phone is just a glorified mp3 player that sometimes interrupts my music with scam callers, so why would I spend any more money on it than I have to? Anything else a smartphone can do, I'd much rather use my computer for because it's a much larger screen and I can use a mouse and keyboard instead of bullshit touchscreen controls. in the instruction booklet for virtua fighter 3 you get a very brief plot for every character and jeffrey's is that someone stole his boat. so hes fighting in the tournament for prize money to win a bigger, better boat... that he is going to use to find his original boat. that always stuck out to me as incredibly nonsensical

Seems to me he's planning the perfect revenge, roll up on the motherfucker who robbed him and show him he doesn't even need the boat, it's purely the principle that he can't let someone steal from him and get away with it.
