That was not my experience flying AA last year. Any seat selection, even choosing a middle seat, was an extra charge.

I'll be sorry to see it go. I generally fly Southwest and it's one of the only airlines where I don't have to pay extra to sit beside my husband. We board together and sit together, it's that simple. Other airlines if we don't reserve seats together we inevitably wind up being separated.
