(1)Jon Snow - Not a big fan of Asha, as with all the Greyjoy's not named Theon. Jon is one of my favourite characters, so naturally it's an easy vote for me here.
(4)Varys - Melisandre's POV chapter makes this a lot closer than it otherwise would've been, but Varys wins anyway.
(3)Theon Greyjoy - God damn the way these fell for making me vote against Oberyn, who is a really awesome character, has one of the highest Awesomeness:Scenes ratios in the entire series. But as was mentioned Theon's such a wonderfully complex character, I can't vote against him here.
(2)Catelyn Tully Stark - Syrio's cool and all (and another with a high Awesomeness:Scenes ratio) but Catelyn is a wonderful character, and I can't vote a bit-part player, no matter how good of one, over her. I think she's liable to be underrated 'cause people get annoyed by her mistakes, but that's what I like, how decidedly imperfect she is, and yet (at least for the first three books) you still want to root for her, because you recognise the purity in the reasoning for everything she does.
