Third Round! The field is thinning significantly! Thirty-two of the most prominent Song of Ice and Fire characters are left! Who is the best character GRRM has ever created?! The most votes per round wins and moves on in this bracket style competition. The contest will continue until the most popular character in Westeros is crowned!!!
This contest can be found on 2 different boards, but only one vote per user will be accepted. The two boards are: Books and Literature and Gamefaqs Contests. Any suspicious votes will be discounted. Each character will be supplied with a link to Wiki Song of Ice and Fire that briefly describes them and their accomplishments throughout the series. Theres a lot of characters in this series, my hope is that these links will remind users who did what and when.
If there are any further questions please feel free to ask and I will be happy to answer!!
~ These matches were quite closer than last round. Still no major upsets though. Out of all of them Cersei got the biggest challenge from Kevan. Petyr stepped on Davos early and never really looked back. ~ Tyrion/Petyr and Sansa/Cersei set up next round!

(9)Asha Greyjoy - Call me mad, but I don't really like Jon that much. He's a bit of a clichéd hero, and while he's smart and cool to read, he's not exactly a compelling character. As it turns out, though, I rather like Asha! (Still expect Jon to win, though). (4)Varys - No questions there. Varys is a very engaging character, and Mel is a bit stale. (3)Theon Greyjoy - Oberyn is fun, but Theon's one of the objectively best characters in the series (not a favourite of mine, but you can't deny the complexity) (2)Catelyn Tully Stark - I don't really like Catelyn, but Syrio's little else than a one-scene wonder. An awesome one-scene wonder, mind you, but Cat still edges out the win anyway.

(1)Jon Snow - Not a big fan of Asha, as with all the Greyjoy's not named Theon. Jon is one of my favourite characters, so naturally it's an easy vote for me here. (4)Varys - Melisandre's POV chapter makes this a lot closer than it otherwise would've been, but Varys wins anyway. (3)Theon Greyjoy - God damn the way these fell for making me vote against Oberyn, who is a really awesome character, has one of the highest Awesomeness:Scenes ratios in the entire series. But as was mentioned Theon's such a wonderfully complex character, I can't vote against him here. (2)Catelyn Tully Stark - Syrio's cool and all (and another with a high Awesomeness:Scenes ratio) but Catelyn is a wonderful character, and I can't vote a bit-part player, no matter how good of one, over her. I think she's liable to be underrated 'cause people get annoyed by her mistakes, but that's what I like, how decidedly imperfect she is, and yet (at least for the first three books) you still want to root for her, because you recognise the purity in the reasoning for everything she does.
