But you guys really don't get it. It is an excuse, yep. It is. I agree with everything you have said, and I have said it myself several times before. I am not naive or ignorant to the reasons why. Look at you all; you are popular users, beloved by the general populace. Easy to shrug off insignificant gnats like Vlado. But me? The majority dislikes me (that knows me). If they don't dislike me, then they simply don't know me at all and just enjoy upsetting me.
I regret Tidus not having my support when he is so strong this year, but look at that contest Gen. Just look at it. Unless FFD takes control over it, he had might as well not run the thing at all. None of the results are going to be legitimate and the atmosphere is pure poison. Do you really think it is worth it to me to continue to vote in a contest where dozens of people outright dislike me so a character who probably could not win the final round can get there? Is me having to put up with this **** every day worth that?

You basically made a bad impression on people a while ago, and while you haven't done anything actively bad for a while, you continue to keep that reputation going by being...passively bad, I guess? By responding to the trolling with melodramatic "quit" threats or some other ridiculous response, that just perpetuates people's negative opinion of you.
Here's what you do:
Joke along with people and just be casual about it. It will change eventually. It will. You might not think it will but it will.
Ignore it completely. Don't make a melodramatic threat to leave and expect people to feel sorry for you. Only douchebags do that. It makes people think less of you and makes them more likely to troll you.
The way you deal with these situations is the worst possible way of dealing with them. The worst. You bring a lot of it on yourself and it's a shame.
